This Eye Cream *Actually* Lightens My Dark Circles

I’ve struggled with dreary under-eyes my entire life. No amount of sleep or eye cream has ever lightened up my dark areas or calmed my puffiness; I’ve always relied on a quality concealer to get the job done. But last year, I started using Cremorlab Shadow-Off Eye Cream ($25) and was obsessed with how it actually reduced dark circles and unsightly swelling.

The deep purple circles I dread waking up to every morning have been noticeably lightened thanks to the niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3. This nutrient boosts circulation to break up the dark areas and even out the skintone. I also notice that the brightening cream works to calm my puffiness and swollen spots. Peptides promote collagen production to strengthen and thicken my skin, but there’s another ingredient that stands out even more.

Each of Cremorlab’s products, including the Shadow-Off Eye Cream, contain mineral-enhanced thermal water straight from hot springs on the coast of South Korea. The brand is all about healing the skin through hydration, which is in large part thanks to that magical underground water. The souped-up hydrator, sourced 1,100 feet beneath the Earth’s surface, heals and restores the complexion, and has become the brand’s secret sauce.

An unexpected bonus of this eye potion is that it works incredibly well as a primer before makeup. My foundation and concealer always seem to settle in the fine lines around my eyes, but the royal jelly extract in this formula fills them out, reducing the cakey creases. Now, I just get in my daily dose of under-eye nourishment while creating a silky canvas for my concealer, making this a product I never want to part with.
