Santa Claus is coming to town—and to Macy's!

While kids might not be able to catch Kris Kringle delivering presents under their Christmas tree, they can experience the magic of meeting jolly old St. Nicholas this holiday season.

Santa Claus will be spreading Christmas cheer as he returns to Macy’s Santaland in select stores around the country this year. Although guests won't be able to sit on Santa's lap, they can take a picture with St. Nick as he works behind his desk.

If you're unable to visit one of the four Santalands, there's no need to cry or pout....and we'll tell you why. Individuals can virtually visit Santa’s Workshop via Macy’s Santaland at ho-ho-home. The digital-only experience allows users to meet elves, play games and take a Santa selfie all from the comfort of their own house.

Where can I find Macy's Santaland?

You can find Santaland at Macy’s Herald Square, Macy’s State Street in Chicago, Macy’s Center City in Philadelphia and Macy’s Union Square in San Francisco.

When does Santaland open?

Santaland at Macy’s State Street in Chicago opened on Saturday, Nov. 5. The others in Philadelphia (which is part of the Macy’s Dickens Village experience), New York and San Francisco opened the day after Thanksgiving on Nov. 25.

What to expect at Santaland?

Visitors will be transported to a winter wonderland, where they will be surrounded by whimsical holiday decor as they explore the magical North Pole and meet Santa's helpers. They can also expect to meet Father Christmas himself!

Do you need a reservation to see Santa?

Yes! As Macy's notes, "Santa will be seen by reservation only." Reservations open at 6:30 a.m. local time, five days ahead of the desired date you wish to visit. Reservations can be made for up to six people max.

How much does Santaland cost?

While you need a reservation, admission to Santaland is free. Professional photos can be purchased.

Is Macy’s Santaland at Home free?

The virtual experience is free and no reservation is required.

When does Macy’s Santaland at Home start?

Macy’s Santaland at Home will be available starting Nov. 25 until Christmas Eve (Dec. 24).
