EXO Release Celebratory Dance Anthem "Don't Fight the Feeling"

EXO-Ls, the day has come. After almost exactly a month of teasers, EXO’s special mini-album Don't Fight the Feeling is officially here.

The five-track project arrives just in time to help us usher in the summer season, and leading the way is the music video for title track “Don’t Fight the Feeling” – a feel-good dance anthem that invites us to, well, not fight the feeling.

In line with EXO’s concept, the music video is set in a futuristic spaceship amid a meteor rain and features seven of EXO’s nine current members, clad in techwear-inspired gear for a large chunk of the video.

With its infectious beat and catchy lyrics, it’s impossible to listen without at least a little shimmy and a smile. Aside from relay dances galore and a long-awaited Lay solo spotlight, the music video also gifts us with some special duo moments, starting with a cute Baekhyun and Chanyeol dance interaction during the song’s second verse, just before Kai and Xiumin follow suit.

Chanyeol and Sehun take over during the dance break, then it’s time for Lay, D.O., and Baekhyun to steal the spotlight with some stellar vocals. With a little help from technology, we also see the seven members reunite during the celebratory ending scene.

Of course, fans are already having fun highlighting their favorite moments from the video – whether it is the “digital” reunion, Sehun’s rap, or a particular member's dance turn or verse.

While all eyes might be on the title track because of the visual component, the other songs in the album – which include “Paradise,” “훅!/No matter,” “Runaway,” and “지켜줄게/Just as usual” – are just as buzzworthy, if not more. EXO-Ls have already been praising the album, in the form of both beloved memes and short reviews. “This might actually be one of my fave exo albums it’s really banger after banger not a single skip everything is SO good,” a user wrote shortly after the project was released. (Even certified EXO-L Ryan Reynolds is showing love for the project.)

Don’t Fight the Feeling marks the return of Lay, Xiumin, and D.O. – the latter two after having completed their mandatory military service in South Korea – as well as the last project for Baekhyun and Chanyeol for a while, with both members having completed their contributions prior to enlisting earlier this year. Suho and Chen, who are currently serving, are the only two members not featured in this project.
