Despite going through a very public divorce, Christina and Tarek El Moussa are still working together - and filming that work for HGTV. Yes, the network is bringing back Flip or Flop post-split, and the El Moussas say it’s a lot different now that they’re no longer together.

“This would be awkward for any exes,” Christina said in a press release. “Since we have to see each other every day it’s beyond awkward. I’m planning on staying friendly and keeping things light.”

The new season, which has 15 episodes, begins May 31, and will focus both on the usual house renovations, but also focus on their new relationship as exes. An announcement from the network put it this way: “As they toil through design plans and renovations, the duo realizes that working together within the boundaries of their new relationship might be harder than the flip itself.”

Tarek noted in the press release that their fame put them under even more scrutiny than ever, and he knows everyone will be watching for signs of where their relationship is going now. “Flipping houses put us in the spotlight, and while it was tough before, now the pressure is really on,” said Tarek. “We’re still trying to figure out how all of this is going to work.”

The two are not only business partners, but also co-parents to their kids, Taylor and Brayden. “It’s all new territory,” Christina said in the release. “When our marriage fell apart it was more public than we could have imagined. But we’re picking up the pieces and we’ll still work together to support our kids.”
