Exes Christina Anstead and Tarek El Moussa Are Filming Another Season of 'Flip or Flop'
Divorced couple Christina Anstead and Tarek El Moussa are officially back together—onscreen, that is— this summer for a ninth season of their hit HGTV show, Flip or Flop. After the pair's separation back in the 2016, Christina and Tarek have continued to work on their home renovation show as amicable friends.
“Christina and I are in a really good place right now,” said Tarek. “We’ve worked hard to keep our business strong, but our kids will always be our #1 priority. It’s important they know we respect each other and that we only want the best for them.”
The show returns with an 18-episode season, featuring some insight into the pair's new dynamic as Christina starts her new life with her new husband, Ant Anstead, and their blended family. The premiere episode of the new season opens with Christina dropping of her kids, Taylor, 8, and Brayden, 3, at Tarek’s house.

“I feel like Tarek and I have started a brand-new chapter,” Christina says. “We may not always agree on kitchen backsplashes or floor plans, but we’re always on the same page when it comes to our kids. We’ve learned to put our differences aside, so we can give Taylor and Brayden the best and happiest life possible.”
According to a press release, the first episode will feature Tarek and Christina buying a rundown, four-bedroom home in Rowland Heights, California. The house includes an illegal addition, a sloping floor, and a noisy parkway nearby—but we're sure that the design duo will turn it into a gorgeous family home.
Christina and Tarek's success doesn't just stop at Flip or Flop—Christina's new show, Christina on The Coast, has been a hit for HGTV, while Tarek is also premiering his new digital series Tarek’s Flip Side that will be available on the HGTV app, HGTV.com, HGTV Facebook, and HGTV's YouTube channel starting August 1.
The ninth season of Flip or Flop premieres Thursday, August 1, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HGTV.
