The two are celebrating over three decades of marriage.

Rob Lowe and Sheryl Berkoff are couple goals.

In an exclusive interview with Parade, the actor opened up about his marriage with his wife of 31 years and offered all the best advice–including his secret to a long-lasting marriage.

"Well, it starts at the very beginning. I married my best friend, and if you're lucky enough to be in a relationship with your best friend, you're so far ahead of the game," the 58-year-old said.

Lowe continued: "We see the world the same way. We have no fundamental point of view differences that we have to navigate every day, like whether it's how to raise a kid or what to do with money. It's really important, and a lot of people don't have that in their relationships."

To set the scene, the actor and his wife's love story began in 1983 when they met on a blind date, but the couple wasn't quick to jump into a romantic relationship.

It wasn't until the two ended up crossing paths again in 1990–when the renowned makeup artist worked with Lowe on the thriller Bad Influence–and from there, the rest was history!

The former Parks and Recreation actor made sure to gush about Berkoff, 61, noting, "she's as beautiful as she ever was to me, and I still have that sort of charge. But it really begins with picking the right person. Really, really, really does, and I was really lucky to do that."

"And the relationship 31 years in is really different than it was 31 years ago, but it's different in a really good way," he later added.

The couple tied the knot on July 22, 1991, and the duo celebrated 31 years of marriage this past year.

Lowe took to his Instagram page on their anniversary to wish his wife a happy anniversary.

"Happy 31st Anniversary, baby. Your love has made my world," he wrote in the caption. "You are as beautiful, knowledgeable, fascinating, kind, and hilarious as you were so many glorious years ago. Partners in love for life!!"
