The actor never thought he'd make a Netflix series with his son.

Rob Lowe gushed about working with his son on their new Netflix comedy series, Unstable.

In an exclusive interview with Parade, the former Parks and Recreation actor offered an inside scoop on the new series.

"So, Unstable is my new comedy on Netflix, and it will come out sometime this coming March or April, and my son John Owen and I co-created it."

He told us what it's like working with John Owen and how much of a gift it is to work with one of his kids.

"The fact that it started in our heads and then came to fruition on Netflix is really, you know, I've seen a lot in my years, but I never thought I would see my son and I co-creating a TV series and anybody out there who gets to work with their kids knows what a gift that is," adding, "it's a whole other layer of your relationship."

Lowe, 58, revealed that even though his son is just getting started in the industry, he trusts him regarding his opinions on writing for the script.

"The fact that I really can look at my son Johnny as a peer and I trust him implicitly, in terms of his taste and his point of view, I mean, the only thing he lacks is the experience that I've had, and you know, he's 26. He's just starting out. He'll get there, but he's got all the tools," he said.

John Owen is never shy of trolling his father on social media, and now they're taking it to another level with Unstable.

The father-son duo and Santa Clarita Diet creator Victor Fresco wrote the series. The comedy will also feature familiar faces such as Sian Clifford, Rachel Marsh, Emma Ferreira, Aaron Branch, Fred Armisen, Tom Allen, and JT Barr.

Fans can expect to stream the Netflix series sometime this spring
