The actress spoke with Parade about her partnership with Jameson Irish Whiskey to encourage you to take that PTO day, guilt-free.

When it comes to taking time off work, Regina Hall is all for it, and the actress/producer is nudging you to be all for it, too!

This year, the About Last Night star is teaming up with Jameson Irish Whiskey and encouraging Americans to use their hard-earned PTO days to make March 17 an SPTO (St. Patrick’s Day Time Off) day to celebrate with friends and family—because let's be honest, we could all use it.

Even better, the brand is providing a cool way for you to shamelessly turn that Out of Office notice on by creating the Jameson Desk Decoy—a personalized, life-size version of yourself to "stand in" for you just in case duty calls.

"I can totally understand the feeling of wanting to take a day off yet not wanting to feel bad about it, but with St. Patrick’s Day falling on a Friday this year, it’s the perfect day to plan ahead and take one of those hard-earned PTO days!" Hall said in a press release shared directly with Parade.

The Think Like a Man star—who previously spent a few months in Ireland and noted having Irish roommates at one point whose genuine "zest for life" inspired her—is excited to celebrate the "festivity of the day" and wants others to have the opportunity to do the same, guilt-free.

"As we had a pandemic that really affected people a lot, getting back to close times with family and friends/celebration is really important," Hall, 52, exclusively told Parade in a Feb. 8 interview.

Enter: the Jameson Desk Decoy—which you can order online for yourself for $17.80 (priced for the year Jameson was founded) plus tax with free shipping, while supplies last, now through March 10.

Having lost her mom two years ago, the industry veteran explained how "celebration and closeness became even more important" to her as she spoke of her involvement with the campaign, before admitting how cool she thought the idea was, being that she's "never had a life-size cardboard cutout" of herself (despite starring in over 40 films since the start of her career in 1997).

For the March holiday, Hall plans to "take the day to really celebrate" by going out with friends in NYC, while enjoying a "toast to the fact that they can be together" with her go-to cocktail of a "little fizzy and refreshing" Jameson and ginger ale with lime.

"We're pulled in many places nowadays; I feel like there's so many things that people have to do," she expressed, adding that St. Patrick's Day feels like "just the one day to toast to yourself, toast to life, toast to friends; celebrate."

In the actress' conversation with Parade, she also spoke to the longevity of her successful career, admitting that choosing her favorite role is like "picking your favorite child—you just can't," however, mentioning a few of her notable films and why they hold a special place in her heart.

"It's a hard thing because I love them all for different reasons. I love The Best Man because I love my cast, you know? That was my first movie and I really have a fond thing... I love About Last Night because I love Kevin [Hart]. I love Girls Trip because we had so much fun," Regina recounted.

"I love Scary Movie because I also love that cast; I love Anna [Faris]. I've played that character more. They're all so different and unique, and they represent different periods of time in my life... and my age," she said, before adding that all her "ensembles with all great friends" have been wonderful experiences.

For now, the Me Time star is focusing on Awards season, where Peacock sequel series The Best Man: The Final Chapters nabbed NAACP Image Awards nominations, as well as 2022 satire Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul. being nominated at the upcoming Independent Spirit Awards.

With Jameson Irish Whiskey, the Washington, D.C., native may be advocating for taking time off, this spring, though, it's back to filming, as she divulged she'll be "working on a few projects" that fans can look forward to seeing in 2024.
