Exclusive: Jones New York to Launch Women’s Shoes at Macy’s Next Month

Jones New York is investing more in footwear with the launch of its first women’s shoe collection at Macy’s next month.

According to the Authentic Brands Group-owned label, the category debut at Macy’s comes as Jones expands its relationship with its footwear licensee E.S. Originals.

“E.S. Originals has been the strategic footwear partner for Jones New York since 2020,” Clara Yoo-Stapen, senior director of merchandising, lifestyle at Authentic, told FN in an interview. “Working in lockstep with their team, we co-crafted a sleek and timeless spring/summer footwear line that authentically captures the sophistication and stylish spirit synonymous with Jones New York.”

The collection has a diverse range including key styles such as the Candree pump in high-shine patent leather featuring rounded buckles, Calsin kitten heel sandal in classic Saffiano leather and the Rannel loafer in classic Saffiano leather, Yoo-Stapen said.

“The line with Macy’s will offer a variety of footwear for modern women that prioritizes function and versatility,” Yoo-Stapen added. “From polished and dressy heels to fashionable flats, the collection is a balanced range of on-trend footwear styles for any occasion. Some key styles consumers can expect to see are chic and dressy pumps, ballerina flats with a little bit of wedge for height and comfort, tailored loafers and both casual and evening sandals. We strived to offer an assortment of styles that can take a busy woman from work to the dinner table seamlessly.”

Macy’s is already a strategic partner for Jones New York apparel, which made it a natural choice for launching footwear, Yoo-Stapen said.

“By featuring both Jones New York apparel and footwear, Macy’s extends its appeal to its audience, providing fashion options suitable for various occasions,” she said. “The Macy’s shopper values quality and inclusivity which makes the Jones New York apparel and footwear line a great fit for their target consumers.”

Looking ahead, Yoo-Stapen said buyers can expect Jones New York footwear to prioritize growth in categories such as classic everyday footwear, evening and special occasion while also expanding its offerings in the wide-width and wide-calf.

“The brand will continue to innovate its selection to cater to a broader range of consumers, ensuring that everyone can find stylish and comfortable footwear options that fit their needs,” Yoo-Stapen added. “By focusing on these areas, Jones New York is committed to providing inclusive choices for its customers while delivering timeless versatility that compliments everyone’s unique style.”

The initial Jones New York shoe collection, which will retail between $60 and $80, will be available at 240 Macy’s locations nationwide beginning on March 1.

Jones New York joined the Authentic Brands Group family in 2015 when the brand management company acquired its intellectual property assets from private equity firm Sycamore Partners for an undisclosed amount. Sycamore acquired the brand when it bought Jones Apparel Group for $2.2 billion in 2014.

Over the past 13 years, Authentic, which won its third Company of the Year award at November’s FNAAs, has become one of the world’s leading brand platforms. All told, Authentic now boasts more than 50 brands and generates more than $29 billion in annual global retail sales, of which footwear represents 45 percent of the company’s total business.
