Azazie’s new Barbie-themed styles channel the coquette aesthetic, featuring dramatic silhouettes with feminine touches including floral appliques, hand beading, bows, ruffles and corsetry. Crafted with fabrics like mikado and stretch satin, each piece is based on one of Barbie’s vintage looks.

Azazie has also launched an exclusive “Barbie Pink” colorway in celebration of the doll’s favorite shade, available only for Barbie collection styles.

Priced from $79 to $1,149, all Azazie x Barbie designs are available on azazie.com. Each piece comes in sizes 0 to 30 with the option for free custom sizing.

Coquette styling is proving popular this year, with full skirts, lace, florals and pale hues taking the fashion world by storm. During the spring 2024 season, designers including Simone Rocha, Richard Quinn and Valentino embraced feminine flairs, sending romantic silhouettes down the runway.

The Azazie x Barbie collection coincides with the doll’s 65th anniversary. In honor of Barbie’s birthday, Mattel has announced a series of new collaborations, including those with 1-800-Flowers, Hallmark, Uno playing cards and Unique Vintage.

Barbie’s 65th anniversary follows a banner year for the brand. The success of Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” film spawned a cultural obsession with all things pink, birthing the Barbiecore trend. Dozens of retailers cashed in on the craze, with Crocs, Zara, Forever 21 and Gap, to name a few, launching Barbie-branded collections of their own.
