Exclusive: After 21 Years, Hardee's Brings Back Fan Favorite Cinnamon 'N' Raisin Biscuit

But it's for a limited time only.

People start a lot of online petitions for any number of trivial (and legitimate) issues in the world. Hardee's has listened to one from their fans: After a 21-year hiatus, Hardee's is bringing back the much loved Cinnamon 'N' Raisin Biscuit beginning November 1, Southern Living can exclusively report.

For 20 years, customers have begged the Franklin, Tenn.-based quick-service restaurant to return to menus the cinnamon-swirled, raisin-studded biscuits that had been a mainstay of the restaurant's breakfast menu since the 1980s. That is, until 2002, when the biscuits were pulled from the menus across the nation.

While it is true some restaurants have had the biscuits a few times since 2002, for the most part, restaurants offered replacement breakfast pastries including cinnamon rolls.

We don't fault anyone who adores the cinnamon rolls (they're going nowhere), but we've been on Team Cinnamon 'N' Raisin Biscuit for a while—we even developed our own copycat recipe because we've missed them so much.

The original buttery biscuits feature a rich combination of cinnamon and tart raisins. That tender biscuit is then topped with a swirl (or blanket, if you're lucky) of glaze, served warm and hot, right from the ovens. There was just no better biscuit.

For a few weeks, Hardee's has been teasing customers with hints of the biscuit's return. But beginning November 1, the teasing is over. It's really happening.

Take note, Cinnamon 'N' Raisin fans: You only have a limited time to enjoy the biscuits before they're gone again—and no one knows how long they'll stay away. (Hopefully not another 20 years.) The biscuits are back on menus only until January 2. If you do things properly, you've got 62 days and 62 opportunities you can eat a Cinnamon 'N' Raisin Biscuit.

As a welcome-back promotion, Hardee's is gifting one free Cinnamon 'N' Raisin Biscuit to fans with a minimum of $10 purchase. You'll need to join their My Rewards program and download the Hardee's app (available in Google and Apple stores). Then, place your breakfast order through the app November 1 through November 7, snag your free biscuit, and enjoy those sweet memories once again.
