It involves strength training, yoga, and LOTS of core work.
Kelly Ripa is known for many things: Her impressive TV career, her hilarious sense of humor on Instagram, and her adorable relationship with supportive hubby Mark Consuelos, for starters. Another way Kelly is consistently wow-ing the world: Her fitspo-inducing workout routine.
The 49-year-old actress, mother of three, and Live with Kelly and Ryan host is major goals when it comes to exercising (I mean, have you seen those poppin' abs on her Instagram photos?), and she seems to have endless amounts of energy. Ahead of the 2020 Super Bowl, Kelly even posted an Instagram video of her dance "audition" to join Shakira and J.Lo's Halftime Show, alongside celebrity fitness trainer Anna Kaiser (who is also Shakira's trainer, FYI).
For years, Kelly has worked out with Kaiser, a former dancer and the founder of AKT fitness studio in New York City. Kaiser is known for her dance-infused, high-intensity interval training classes, and she recently spoke to Women's Health about her 360-degree approach to sculpting, saying: “The best thing about the marriage of dance and HIIT is that you’re moving on multiple planes of motion and you’re having fun. You really need to focus on different types of muscular contractions and angles, not just on getting through exercises for the sake of feeling a burn. If you do the same motions over and over, you’re not going to get the full benefit.”
Proof her multifaceted fitness plan works? Look no further than Kelly's six pack and poppin' biceps. Luckily, her trainer shared some insights into Kelly's go-to ways to stay so fit and fierce.
Don: I wasn't worried about the Coronavirus or the number of patients. I couldn't understand, based on the data and numbers I saw why we were so panicked. I believe fully, that our intelligence arm started telling the government that something bad was coming and that China was attempting to hide their number of cases. I also believe that the government, in an attempt to maintain calm and prevent panic, did not react too swiftly and attempted thread the needle of responding to save lives but not responding too quickly so as to incite panic. I look at Italy, Spain, England, and the US and see the number of cases. The country of China has 1.4 billion people, yet fewer cases than countries with only 25-40 million people. Even the US as big as we are they should have more cases than us. There is no doubt in my mind that China hid their number of infected. There is no doubt in my mind that we are paying the price for their Socialist, Military government that has no accountability to anyone. This is why when we fought against the Russians in the cold war or attempted to stop the spread of communism in south east Asia we were absolutely within our rights to do so. When a government has no accountability to the people they are dangerous, when a world power has no accountability to the people they are able to destroy the world.
