Ewan McGregor stars opposite his real-life daughter, Clara McGregor, in the new film from Emma Westenberg, Bleeding Love, a gritty, emotional tale about healing familial wounds through re-connection.

After a drastic incident in her life, a young woman embarks on an impromptu road trip with her estranged father. En route to their destination of Santa Fe, New Mexico, the two are forced to confront the issues of their past that have led to their frail relationship while encountering an eccentric array of characters along the way in order to bring them closer together again.

Bleeding Love premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival in March 2023 and is now heading for release on February 16, 2024.

Adam Sandler also recently starred alongside his real-life family in Netflix's You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, so it's interesting that Bleeding Love features another real-life father/daughter duo.

The script was the debut of Ruby Caster, with Caster, Vera Bulder and Clara McGregor all credited for the story. Elle Malan served as story editor.

Christine Vachon, who had two hits last year in Past Lives and May December, is credited as a producer alongside Vera Bulder and Clara McGregor, as well as Mason Plotts, Mark Amin, Greg Lauritano and Cami Winikoff.

Tyler Boehm, Brent Morris and Emma Westenberg all serve as executive producers alongside Ewan McGregor, with Adam Sigal co-executive producing.
