Evil Haunts a Home in Trailer for Stephen King's 'The Boogeyman'

The first trailer for the adaptation of Stephen King's The Boogeyman is here.

Initially premiering during a broadcast of the NFC championship game, the visual sees Sophie Thatcher and Vivien Lyra Blair and Sadie and Sawyer Harper, two young siblings experiencing the loss of their mother. A supernatural force that preys on misery enters their house and the two girls must convince their grieving father of the evils lurking in their home before it gets to them.

The Boogeyman is based on King’s 1978 short story of the same name, which follows the story of Lester Billings as he tells psychiatrist Dr. Harper the stories of how his three children screamed "Boogeyman!" before their deaths.

Joining Thatcher and Blair in the cast are Chris Messina, Marin Ireland, Madison Hu, LisaGay Hamilton and David Dastmalchian. Mark Heyman, Scott Beck and Bryan Woods wrote the screenplay while Rob Savage helmed the film. Shawn Levy, Dan Levine and Dan Cohen serve as producers while Beck, Wood, John H. Starke, Emily Morris, Adam Kolbrenner, Ryan Cunningham and Robin Meisinger are executive producers.
