While we would have loved to host you in person, our two-day online festival Stella Live nevertheless brought the award-winning pages of Stella to life – over the course of last weekend’s jam-packed schedule, thousands of you joined in with an exclusive FaceGym workout, solved your summer wardrobe woes and put your questions to our favourite high-profile guests.

We heard from a host of speakers, from celebrity hairstylist George Northwood to mental-health advocate Fearne Cotton, and quizzed experts from the fashion and beauty industry as well as Stella’s own team. But don’t worry if you missed out on any of the events - you’ll be able to watch them all on the Telegraph Live YouTube channel.

First up was beauty expert Trinny Woodall in conversation with Stella editor Caroline Barrett. In the interactive session, Trinny answered your beauty questions and shared her top tips for transforming our beauty regimes for a post-Zoom world. A good cleansing routine is a must – as she pointed out, ‘if you don’t polish the floor properly, it’ll get dusty.’ She also demonstrated her eyelid exercise and ‘scissoring’ routine – a stimulating massage technique on the forehead – and gave her top tips for achieving hydrated, dewy skin.

Fearne Cotton opened up to ITV News anchor Charlene White about her mental health journey, dealing with reentry anxiety, and her career change from television and radio presenter to mental-health advocate and podcast host (a ‘very happy accident’).

Next up we learned the tricks of fabulous post-lockdown hair from George Northwood in a masterclass hosted by beauty director Sonia Haria. He demonstrated his techniques and answered readers’ questions about the best treatments for hair that’s post-menopausal, frizzy, short or greying.

Supermodel Yasmin Le Bon then chatted about her spectacular career with head of fashion Lisa Armstrong, starting from how she was ‘obsessed’ with modelling as a teen. She addressed the good and bad of the industry, adding that ‘you need an incredibly thick skin’ to be a model.

And that was only the first day...

On Saturday, we started bright and early with Cat Deeley, who spoke from her Australian quarantine hotel room to senior fashion editor Caroline Leaper about going from TV presenter to fashion designer.

This was followed by a wealth of advice from the Stella fashion team on how to solve all of our summer style dilemmas, from BBQ-appropriate dressing to staycation-friendly pieces. On location at John Lewis & Partners, our fashion team took readers through the dos and don’ts of summer dressing.

The event culminated in an intensive face workout from Inge Theron, founder of FaceGym. From the comfort of our homes, we exercised our faces until they emerged fresh and toned – the perfect revitalising end to another unmissable Stella Live.
