Everything You Need to Know About the Whole30 Diet

Everything You Need to Know About the Whole30 Diet Melissa Hartwig Urban and her husband Dallas Hartwig created the Whole30 diet in 2009 after eating Paleo for 30 days. Whole30 is a stricter version of Paleo designed to teach people how food impacts them. Essentially, it's committing to eating nothing processed for 30 days. The Paleo diet cuts out "gut- disrupting, inflammatory food groups," including sugar, dairy, alcohol, grains, and legumes. Whole30 goes a step further and prevents you from modifying ingredients to make your favorite foods. The diet also excludes Paleo-approved sugars like honey and baked goods made with almond or coconut flour. Things that are allowed on your quest to enjoy all of the benefits of Whole30 include all the fruit, veggies, and meat that you want.
