*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

We have a million questions after watching Sweet Magnolias season one. For example, why did Kyle take Ty’s car? And who was sitting in the passenger seat? And lastly, will the Netflix series return for a second season?

Here’s everything we know about Sweet Magnolias season two.

1. When does 'Sweet Magnolias' season 2 premiere?

Unfortunately, Netflix hasn’t renewed Sweet Magnolias for season two—yet. On the bright side, the series has been trending on the streaming service ever since it premiered back in May. Even Logan Allen (who plays Kyle Townsend) revealed that he’s hopeful for another season based on the show’s popularity.

“I have not heard anything yet, but it has been number one on Netflix for like three days in a row now, which is just unbelievable,” he told PureWow. “If you guys really want that second season, even if you already watched the show once, watch it again. Tell your friends and family. It’s doing very, very well right now, but the more you watch it, the higher the chances that a second season is feasible.”

2. Who's in 'Sweet Magnolias' season 2?

Netflix hasn’t confirmed any cast members, but we expect several familiar faces to return. This includes Joanna Garcia Swisher (Maddie), Heather Headley (Helen), Brooke Elliott (Dana Sue), Anneliese Judge (Annie), Carson Rowland (Ty) and Justin Bruening (Cal). While season one ended on a cliffhanger, we hope to see Allen reprise his role. However, the actor confessed that even he doesn’t know what happens next.

“Believe it or not, the writers didn’t tell us anything. I don’t know what’s happening,” he told PureWow. “I’m pretty much in the same boat as you guys, but the finale definitely left us all speechless. So, I’m as anxious as you guys are for hopefully a second season.”

3. What is 'Sweet Magnolias' season 2 about?

Since Sweet Magnolias season one is based on Sherryl Woods’s book series of the same name, season two will likely follow suit. Although the author previously revealed the ending wasn’t in the books, she admitted there’s still more story to tell.

“When I read the script for the tenth episode, I immediately emailed [series creator] Sheryl Anderson and said, ‘Netflix needs to renew this minute,’” she told People. “There’s a lot more to each of their stories.”

4. Will season 2 have more romance?

In addition to Maddie and Cal, season one also left us wondering about another relationship: Ty and Annie. Carson Rowland told PureWow he’s excited to see where their story line progresses, despite the rocky start.

“I would love to see what happens with Ty and Annie,” he said. “They are essentially ‘meant to be’ and the first season was a chaotic one for those two and their relationship.”
