Everything You Need to Know About Stacie From 'Virgin River'

Season four of Virgin River is officially on Netflix, and we couldn't be happier (if we ignore all the curveballs they are throwing us this season). Season four has proved to be nothing short of ~dramatic~, but we're here for it. Fan favorites like Mel, Jack, Doc, Lizzie, and Preacher are back of course, but there are a few new faces in the mix. Stacie Monroe, played by actress Melinda Dahl, appeared briefly in season two, and she's back this season. A lot has happened since then, so we are happy to refresh your memory about her role in the show.
Who is Stacie on Virgin River?
Stacie is the sister of Mel's late husband Mark Monroe. Back in season two Stacie came to Virgin River to demand that Mel return the engagement ring Mark gave her. The ring was Mark and Stacie's grandmothers, and Stacie wanted to keep the ring in the family. Mel never actually gives Stacie the ring back, so needless to say the two are not exactly besties. After this storyline unfolds, Stacie does not make an appearance in the rest of season two or season three.
Stacie makes her way back to Virgin River this season and asks Mel out to lunch, so the pair can catch up (yeah, right). Mel is unsure whether to accept this offer, but Doc gives her some very reasonable advice. He tells Mel to do what is best for her and not to worry about Stacie, so Mel agrees to lunch.
Stacie starts off strong by apologizing to Mel about the engagement ring debacle and reveals she is pregnant with a little girl, and she plans to name her Monroe in remembrance of Mark. So far so good, right? Stacie doesn't play nice for long, and she ends up dropping a bombshell on Mel. Stacie tells Mel that her mother plans to fight for custody of Mel and Mark's two remaining embryos. Of course, this news is horrifying regardless, but it is made worse by the fact that Mel does not know whether Mark or Jack is the father of her unborn child at this point. That's all we see of Stacie for the remainder of the season, but we're sure she'll be back again and bring all the drama with her.
Who plays Stacie on Virgin River?
Now that you're all caught up, you may be wondering why Stacie looks familiar. You might recognize Melinda from her role as Annette in Loudermilk or her appearances in Casual and Grown Ups. She's a Canadian actress, who also happens to be a musician and artist.
