It's official, y'all—the wait is over. Season 4 of Netflix's La Casa de Papel, a.k.a Money Heist, is officially out and streaming now.

If you're looking for what to look forward to before you start bingeing, just before its premiere, Netflix released a special episode-by-episode teaser that had our anticipation on high. We already knew that, according to the official trailer, season 4 will open up right where season 3 left off: Nairobi fighting for her life, Lisbon in police custody, and the Professor on the run. The trailer's most surprising revelation? The return of Berlin, who died back in season 2.

But the preview gave a breakdown of what to expect from all eight episodes of season 4 it landed on the streaming platform at 3 PM ET in the United States. Well, Episode 1 is called "Game over," featuring El Profesor sobbing—likely because of the death of his beloved Raquel in the season 3 finale. Episode 2 shows us a flashback to "Berlin's wedding," and Episode 3 appears to be a standoff with Denver and someone mysterious with the title "Anatomy lesson."

Meanwhile, Episode 4 features a sneaky-seeming Profesor with the title "Pasadoble," the next episode, "5 Minutes Earlier" shows an explosion, and 6 shows the Profesor practicing boxing, 7 is called "Strike the Tent." (!!) And the final episode, 8? We see Alicia the detective looked very pleased before the episode title "Paris Plan." (Gasps in Spanish.)

That teaser is a riveting story in itself—so we can't imagine just how crazy the actual season 4 will get:

Of course, between the trailer and this preview, people were already theorizing about the fates of both fan favorites. Is Berlin back from the dead, magically—or is just coming back in flashback form? Will Nairobi survive after being shot in the chest by police? Will she ever reunite with her son, Axel, who had been used as bait to lure her out of the museum?

We did get a little bit of intel from one of the show's stars. In an exclusive interview with OprahMag.com in Madrid, Alba Flores—who plays Nairobi—revealed that season 4 is "tough."

"If you’re going to watch it, keep your tissues close to you," she told us. "This season is tough—tougher than you think it will be at the beginning." And creator Álex Pina added: "This is the most shocking—the one that will cause the most commotion out of the four seasons we’ve done."

Ahead, here's what you need to know about season 4 of La Casa de Papel, also known as Money Heist. Happy bingeing, friends. And after you've watched, let us know your thoughts on the new season in the comments below.

La Casa de Papel (Money Heist) Season 4 was released April 3.

Season 4 dropped on April 3, 2020.

The release date followed a similar pattern for earlier seasons: After season 1 released on May 9, 2017, season 2 quickly followed on October 16, 2017. Season 3 dropped July 19, 2019, and it'll be less than a year before we have new episodes (at least that's what we're telling ourselves as we anxiously wait for more).

But unlike prior seasons, Netflix will also release a documentary about the series and how it became an international phenomenon, according to Deadline. Few details about the documentary have been released, but according to Spanish film magazine Fotogramas, the documentary will include testimonies from creator Alex Pina, his partners, as well as members of the cast.

There trailer for season 4 was intense.

It's teeming with revelations. The most tantalizing, of course, is the return of Berlin. In season 3, Berlín appeared in flashbacks, as he, Palermo, and the Professor made plans to rob the Bank of Spain, so the trailer hinted that's how we'll see Berlin in season 4, but if things are going to get chaotic, who's to say for sure?

In addition to the trailer, the show built the (already high) anticipation for the new season on Instagram, which was "hacked" by Inspector Alicia Sierra (played by Najwa Nimri), who was introduced in season 3 and can be seen offering Lisbon a heartbreaking proposition in the season 4 trailer: sell out The Professor or lose your family.

Alicia briefly censored the account — "if you are with [the Professor], you are not with me" — but on March 3, the account was restored with "a message for the resistance." The Professor appeared and called out the police's failed campaign to discredit the group, and he warned fans not to be fooled.

Who is in the cast?

All of the thieves are back in the new trailer: The Professor/Salvador "Salva" Martin (Álvaro Morte), Tokio (Úrsula Corberó), Denver (Jaime Lorente Lopez), Nairobi (Alba Flores), Helsinki (Darko Peric), Raquel/Lisbon (Itziar Ituño), Monica/Stockholm (Esther Acebo), Bogotá (Hovik Keuchkerian), Palermo (Rodrigo de la Serna), and Marsella (Luka Peros). You also see Inspector Alicia and Gandí (José Manuel Poga).

Remind me: what happened in season 3 of Money Heist?

A lot of things! But we'll summarize the most important points.

The Professor and Raquel/Lisbon teamed up with their original crew to rob the Bank of Spain both in honor of Berlín, and to demand authorities release Rio. The thieves wanted to get into the vault and melt down the gold that's stored there, and to enter the secret compartment where all the Spanish government's secrets are kept.

As soon as Denver walked out of the bank with the red boxes containing top-secret details, the negotiators knew they would have to give into the primary demand of the robbers: Return Rio safely. The heist, however, derailed from there. Nairobi was shot in the chest by the police after Alicia tricked her into standing by a window to see her son for the first time since he was taken away from her years ago.

And the ultimate blow? Alicia tricked the Professor into believing that Lisbon was executed by the police, forcing him to break his one rule about not killing anyone. The Professor told Palermo, "This is no longer a heist or about defying the system, it's a war." The crew acts accordingly: Rio and Tokio launch a rocket-propelled grenade at an army tank that was about to enter the bank.

It's only after the Professor gives these drastic orders that you see Lisbon is alive and being taken into police custody. Season 3 ends with Tokio saying, "And that's how the war began."

Season 3 of La Casa de Papel was a massive hit, right?

Season 3 of La Casa de Papel broke records by having the best first-week global result ever for a Netflix non-English series, according to Variety. It is also officially the most-watched Netflix series or film of all time in any language, including English, in countries around the world like France, Italy, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Portugal, and "many others," according to Diego Ávalos, direction of originals in Spain.

According to Netflix, La Casa de Papel was also the streaming service's third most-watched original TV show, right behind Stranger Things and Umbrella Academy. It's been watched by 44 million people, according to The New York Times.

Excited for the epic series to return? Us, too. Here's everything else we know about season 4 so far.

Season 4's plot takes some major twists and turns.

Things take an unexpected turn for the Professor, Lisbon, and the thieves. Usually when everything goes wrong, the Professor comes through with a backup plan—but this time, he is out of options. His love for Lisbon (another one of his rules that he broke) led him astray. All bets are off for season 4.

Not that the thieves just let the Professor off the hook. In the trailer, we see that Stockholm says, "You said it was impossible to escape but that you'd get us out. Keep your word." Plus, there *are* a few shots in the trailer where you see Marsella on the outside. One fan theory on Reddit suggested that he might actually be the key to their escape:

"If we look closely [at] the trailer, we can see Marseille [sic] many times and since we've known he is an ex military guy, he might be able to pilot a chopper. We see him in a van, in a pool and in the middle of the crowd. So what if he were to light a spark outside the bank to increase security and the army ... to sneak his way among other choppers and get them out from the roof. We have a clip of them shooting on the roof, too."

Overall, we expect that viewers will see just how far The Professor is willing to go to rescue his team, including Lisbon.

Does Nairobi or any other character die in season 4?

The trailer showed some of our favorite thieves in danger: Rio and Denver are in that elevator. Maybe Bogota, too. Tokio is tied up and crying. Helsinki is crying at one point, and then later it looks like he's going to be hanged.

And then, of course, there's the question of Nairobi: will she or won't she survive? Fans on Reddit have theories that we could be getting ready to say goodbye to another character, but they're not convinced the trailer would give away who that person is. For a show that's known for its many layered twists and turns, we'll just have to wait and see.

Is season 4 the last season of La Casa de Papel/Money Heist?

A few members of the cast have recently posted photos on Instagram after filming wrapped for season 4. From their captions, it seems they are hinting that season 4 will be the final season of La Casa de Papel.

Acebo wrote, "And after the chaos...silence. It's official. I've finished filming @lacasadepapel #lcdp...Thank you to the entire family for this incredible trip."

Morte also posted a similar goodbye message to The Professor.

"Last day of filming #parte4 @lacasadepapel. Cheers to everyone. For us, the team (the best @vancouvermedia_) and for everyone who watches us around the planet. Thank you everyone... Long live! #elprofesor," he wrote.

There's no official word on whether season 4 will be the last. Some rumors suggest that the show has already been ordered for seasons 5 and 6, but that has not been confirmed.

Where can I watch La Casa de Papel?

Seasons 1, 2, 3, and 4 are all currently available to stream on Netflix. The company offers a free one-month trial before charging $9 to $16 a month, depending on the streaming quality you prefer. So if you haven't started yet—happy bingeing.
