The cover for Spare features Prince Harry looking straight at the camera with a firm but slight smile. The art and text are sparse, featuring just "Prince Harry" and the title in a white sans-serif font. The background of the cover is a pale beige color, possibly to evoke images of his services in the Afghanistan desert. While some parts of the photo are quite sharp, others have a soft focus—notably the Duke of Sussex's hairline (something he jokes about often).

What is Prince Harry's book about?

According to a release from Random House, Prince Harry's book will cover his entire life, including the death of his mother, Princess Diana, and the aftermath—including his heartbreaking walk with Prince William behind her coffin at her highly publicized funeral.

The publisher describes the memoir as "raw and unflinching" and "a landmark publication full of insight, revelation, self-examination, and hard-won wisdom about the eternal power of love over grief."

“As Diana, Princess of Wales, was laid to rest, billions wondered what the princes must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on," Random House said in part in a statement. "For Harry, this is his story at last."

The book will reportedly also cover his years serving in the military in Afghanistan, meeting and marrying Meghan Markle, leaving his role as a senior royal, establishing his life as a wealthy socialite in California and becoming a father to son Archie and daughter Lilibet.
