Peacock's "Saved by the Bell" Officially Renewed for Season 2

Time out! Who can believe it's been almost 30 years since Saved by the Bell first premiered and now a brand new set of Bayside students are making their mark on the iconic series. Peacock brought some of our favorite characters back along with another generation played by an all-star cast that will make you fall in love with this sequel series as much as you did the original. But once you're done watching the new Saved by the Bell's first season, you're definitely going to be wondering about what will be happening next. So will a Saved by the Bell season two actually happen?

Is Saved by the Bell season 2 happening?
*ding* Your order for a season two is officially ready at The Max! Peacock has officially announced that Saved by the Bell will be coming back a second season. Just like season 1, the show will get an additional ten episodes.
"I'm thrilled that Saved by the Bell has been renewed. I've been blown away by all the love for the show and can't wait to go back and make more episodes," said writer and executive producer Tracey Wigfield in a press release. "Hopefully we stay on Peacock for many more seasons, and then in 30 years, somebody does a reboot of our reboot and invents the threeboot."
What will Saved by the Bell season 2 be about?
Luckily for all of us, the season ends with the Douglas students being able to stay at Bayside. However, not everything else is 100 percent within the main group. After breaking up with Aisha, Jamie and Lexi are now dating. Aisha seems to regretting her decision to end things with him after spotting them kissing in the hallway. In the end, Mac ends up mentioning coronavirus, meaning next season will probably show the challenges of remote learning. And then there's the Zack Morris, the OG time stopper. The now-Governor of California might not be in office for much longer after launching his brand new campaign to keep the students in their new schools. Will he stay Governor or will things change now that he has people against him, also changing Mac's life in the process?
When will Saved by the Bell season 2 start filming?
Since the show has yet to be renewed, filming still hasn't started. But once they get the green light, there's a good chance that they'll return for season two ASAP.
When will Saved by the Bell season 2 be released?
Peacock is still a brand new service, so it's hard to tell exactly when the show will come back. However, depending on how long it takes to film a second season, we might not have to wait too long for Saved by the Bell to return.
