When she's not busy scooping up Tony Awards or being enchanting and letting it go in her multiple jobs as Disney princesses, Idina Menzel heads home to relax with her favorite men—her son, Walker Nathaniel Diggs (who she shares with her ex-husband, Taye Diggs) and her husband, Aaron Lohr. If you're feeling all kinds of "huh?" and "who?" about Mr. Menzel, don't worry because we've compiled all the most must-know info about Aaron and it's just a quick scroll away (although, for the record, even if you don't recognize Aaron by name, you're probably already way more familiar with him than you realize because the man has done a LOT).

He has impressive Disney roots of his own.

Like the love of his life, Aaron has major ties to the Mouse. In the '90s, he was a regular in Disney projects. You might recognize his young face from his roles in The Mighty Ducks and Newsies, but his young voice is almost definitely burned into your brain thanks to his role as the singing voice for Max Goof in A Goofy Movie (and if not, here's "After Today" to jog your memory/get stuck in your head for the rest of the week):

Honestly, he was a regular sight on TV in the '80s and '90s in general.

In addition to his slew of Disney roles, Aaron memorably played Marlon on Sister, Sister, as well as landing guest-starring appearances on a ton of other iconic shows of the time, including Family Matters, Baywatch, The Wonder Years, and Blossom. And then there's his not-too-shabby debut role as the boy in Deniece Williams' "Let's Hear It for the Boy" music video, ofc:

He costarred with Idina Menzel multiple times—years before they got together.

Aaron and Idina met for the first time when they both appeared in the 2005 film adaptation of Rent. Idina reprised her role as Maureen (the part she famously played in the musical's original Broadway cast in 1996) and Aaron played Steve, a member of an AIDS support group (he also contributed vocals to the songs "Will I" and "Life Support" for the movie's soundtrack).

Fate quickly brought them together again when they costarred in Michael John LaChiusa's See What I Wanna See at the New York Public Theater in 2005.

He and Idina have been together since 2015.

Aaron and Idina made their debut as a couple in 2015 when they attended the White House Correspondents' Dinner together.

In September 2016, Idina announced their engagement on Twitter, writing, "As if this week couldn’t get any better I have wonderful news… my man and I are engaged! We are so happy. It’s a beautiful time."

And, almost a year to the day later, the actress revealed they had officially tied the knot at their home in California. "Wanted to let you know... Married the love of my life #aaronlohr this weekend @ our home. Dad & son walked me down aisle. It was magical."

And he's seriously bonded with her son.

Aaron seems to have stepped seamlessly into his role as stepdad to Idina's son, Walker Nathaniel. In 2017, the actress gushed about the pair's bond in an interview with People.

"They're very close," she said at the time. "They're probably watching a film, or they run around [playing] dodgeball with a sock, they make a ball out of socks and they hit each other."

He's also a licensed therapist with multiple degrees.

As if being a successful actor and husband to a living legend weren't enough, Aaron is also a licensed therapist. In 2012, he shifted his focus away from acting and toward mental healthcare, joining the staff at Avalon Malibu, which is a mental health and addiction treatment center in California. He currently serves as Avalon's clinical director, where, according to his official staff bio on the center's website, he "consistently imbues a tenacity, passion, fearlessness, and humility in managing all integral aspects of client care and facility departments."

Aaron got his Master’s Degree in Psychology from Phillips Graduate University to prepare for his work as a licensed marriage and family therapist, but he has other degrees, too—a Bachelor’s Degree from UCLA and another Master’s Degree (this one in Criminal Justice) from John Jay in New York City.
