Halsey welcomed a baby into the world on July 14, 2021 and her boyfriend, Alev Aydin, was right there beside the singer during the milestone moment. Just a few months ago, though, no one even knew Halsey was dating Alev. These days, the couple is going strong and seem so happy together. So, to celebrate their new baby, let's take a look back on Halsey and Alev's relationship timeline to find out how this little family came to be.
July 19, 2021: Halsey and Alev announce the birth of their child, Ender Ridley Aydin, who was born on July 14th. "Gratitude," Halsey captioned the Instagram. "For the most 'rare' and euphoric birth. Powered by love."
Alev shared his own photos from the hospital on Instagram as well.
July 14, 2021: Halsey opened up about her relationship with Alev in an interview with Allure. The singer explained that "the judging started from the beginning" and "a lot of people had opinions about" their relationship.
"Alev and I have been really good friends for four years," Halsey said. "And when the stars aligned, our relationship became romantic and it was pretty evident that he and I were both like, 'Oh, my gosh! You’re the person I’m supposed to start a family with.'" Halsey explained that they didn't initially tell the world about their relationship to protect their privacy. "I signed up to give my whole life away; my loved ones didn’t," she said.
May 25, 2021: Halsey and Alev are spotted out in Los Angeles wearing rings on their left ring fingers, sparking engagement (and even marriage) rumors.
May 19, 2021: For awhile, fans were waiting for news about a reported biopic about Halsey's life that was to star the singer, but the project eventually got shelved. One fan tweeted out about the movie, saying, "This lives in my mind, rent free. Why did this never happen???" Halsey responded to the tweet saying, "Alev was supposed to be writing it the past 3 years and we slowly fell in love instead. You know the rest!" Now that's a pretty good reason.

March 17, 2021: Halsey shares a sweet photo with Alev on Instagram, wishing him a happy birthday in Turkish to honor his heritage.
March 2, 2021: Halsey took to Instagram to address conversations over whether or not her pregnancy was planned. The singer wrote on their Instagram Stories, "Why is it okay to speculate and pass judgment about fertility and conception? My pregnancy was 100% planned, and I tried very hard for this bb. But I would be just as happy even if it were another way."
January 27, 2021: Halsey reveals they're pregnant on Instagram, sharing a gorgeous photo showing of their baby bump. Of course, many were curious about the father of the baby, but Halsey cleared that up when they tagged Alev on their stomach.
October 27, 2020: Halsey and Alev are spotted out together as they pick up some art supplies.
June 22, 2020: The couple headed to Liquid Tattoo in Yucca Valley, California where they got matching tattoos. The artist, Amanda Owley, shared the experience on her Instagram.
"Today I met the sweetest two people. Ashley and Alev," Amanda wrote. "You may know her better as HALSEY @iamhalsey." She explained that they both got "seeds" on their feet in each other's handwriting. "'Seeds' is for planting seeds. [Halsey] said this is cosmically the best week to plant seeds in your life."
March 21, 2019: Halsey and Alev sat courtside at a Los Angeles Lakers game at the Staples Center. Alev later posted about the game on Instagram. "Back when I did a very cool thing I’ll prob never get to do again—massive thanks @iamhalsey for the courtside experience. Only ones not on our phones, actually watching the game. 🙏🏻," he wrote.
