In the ever-expanding world of breakthrough injectable fillers, one brand reigns supreme: Juvéderm. And now, it's leaving its mark on our yearly calendars with its very own holiday: Juvéderm Day, taking place tomorrow, August 16.

The first-of-its-kind event celebrates the aesthetic providers and patients who have helped make Juvéderm the leading brand for dermal filler treatments, which continue to rise in popularity thanks to growing transparency and education.

Whether you're interested in getting filler for the first time or going in for a routine treatment, chances are high that your provider will use a type of Juvéderm based on your individual needs— and for good reason.

As David Shafer, MD, a double board-certified plastic surgeon at the Shafer Clinic in New York City, tells InStyle, Juvéderm is made of hyaluronic acid (HA), which naturally occurs in the body. When injected into certain areas of the face, such as the cheeks, lips, or under-eyes, it can help smooth wrinkles and increase volume for a more youthful appearance. "The beauty is that the HA molecule is normally found in the body, so there's a great compatibility," Shafer explains. In total, there are six different types of Juvéderm injections, including the popular Voluma, which plumps the cheeks and lifts the chin; Volux, which helps define the jawline; and Ultra, which fills the lips.

While derma fillers are considered to be a relatively safe procedure, it's essential to consult a licensed specialist and educate yourself on potential side effects. Moreover, you want to be sure you're making the best decision for your body.

As part of Juvéderm Day, there will also be special offers available. If you're part of Allē, the Allergan Aesthetics loyalty program, there are BOGO Gift cards, where members who buy a $75 gift card will receive an additional $75 gift card for free. Additionally, if you book a consultation on top of buying a BOGO gift card, you can receive triple Allē points (the equivalent of $225 in value) to redeem on future treatments.

If you're planning on participating, take note: While anyone can join the rewards program, Juvéderm Day offers will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. So set your reminders and act fast!
