Everything We Know So Far About Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's Wedding
Princess Beatrice and her boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have officially announced their plans to be married! Here's what we know so far about the couple's engagement and their big day.
The Date
Mark your calendar! The royal family just confirmed that the next royal wedding will take place on May 29. Previously, they had only announced that the nuptials would take place sometime in 2020.
The Venue
Princess Beatrice and Edo, as he is known to close friends, will tie the knot at the Chapel Royal at St James's Palace.
"The Queen has kindly given permission for the ceremony to take place at The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace," reads a statement released by the royal family on social media.
"The ceremony will be followed by a private reception, given by The Queen, in the gardens of Buckingham Palace." It will be the first reception hosted at Buckingham Palace since that of Will and Kate in 2011.
Will it be televised?
It's unclear if Princess Beatrice will have her royal wedding to fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi televised.
Earlier this year, ITV confirmed that the network will "definitely not" be broadcasting the wedding live. According to Tatler, the BBC had previously said that while it will feature "news coverage of the wedding across our channels," it also would not cover the wedding live.
The Proposal
On September 26, the engagement news was announced via the royal family's Twitter account. "Edo" as he is known to his friends proposed to Beatrice in Italy earlier that month.
"We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement. We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married," the happy couple said in a statement. "We share so many similar interests and values and we know this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness."

In a serious of portraits released in tandem with the engagement announcement, Princess Beatrice showed off her new piece of jewelry.
According to a statement released by the Duke of York's office, Edo "designed a ring in collaboration with the British jewellery designer Shaun Leane."
The Guest List
Of course, it's a bit early to speculate on who might attend the wedding, but it's fairly safe to assume that they will be a few famous faces in the crowd of this marriage ceremony (in addition to senior members of the royal family, that is). Beatrice is quite close to a number of celebrities including Karlie Kloss and Ellie Goulding, as well as fashion designers like Misha Nonoo.
