Here’s everything you need to know about Emily in Paris season 3.

Are there any behind-the-scenes pics and videos from Emily in Paris season 3?

The wait for season 3 is officially over, and BFFs Lily Collins and Ashley Park teamed up with Instagram Reels to share a behind-the-scenes look at Emily in Paris season 3 on their day off. The stars wore full Christian Dior and Thom Browne outfits while eating croissants and spilling tea on the newest season. Ashley Park revealed that she likes to paint with watercolors to help herself relax before a busy day while Lily prefers to write in a gratitude journal. The dynamic duo then let fans in on some set secrets, like how they rode scooters throughout Paris while shooting the show, or how Ashley doesn't speak French.

"How does she sing in French but doesn't speak it?" Lily playfully asks during a car ride in the City of Lights. "Singing is actually easier because the vowels are warmer," Ashley explains.

On December 4, Lily Collins surprised fans with the official poster for season 3 when she shared Emily's new look in an Instagram post. "She’s back… with bangs! @emilyinparis season 3, coming December 21!!…" the actress and producer wrote.

She also shared a behind-the-scenes video during the show's press day with the cast, which gave us a glimpse of the stunning looks we can probably expect in the new season. "It feels like we never left but the gang’s all here again! And we’re ready to start promoting @emilyinparis Season 3…" Lily wrote alongside the clip.

Emily in Paris season 3 is definitely happening

Oh, yes. We officially get to indulge in not one, but two more seasons of Emily in Paris. In January 2022, Netflix shared the news on Twitter along with a photo of leading lady and producer Lily Collins, announcing that the fan-favorite series has been renewed for a third and fourth season.

Lily previously expressed how much she’d love to come back for a third season: “I hope viewers find more of themselves in different characters and feel seen and represented in the show,” she told Glamour in a December 2021 interview. “And I hope that we get a season three because I really hope we get to come back and do this again.”

In a December 2021 interview with People, Lily also dished about how the third season can play into the major cliffhanger viewers saw at the end of season 2. “I myself don’t know her choice yet. I keep asking,” Lily told the outlet. “But whatever choice it is you know it will be filled with drama, fashion, and a lot of fun and romance. I am down for whatever decision comes my way if we get to do it.”

Per People, Jeremy O. Harris — who stars as Pierre Cadault’s nemesis, Gregory Elliott Dupree — said that he’d love to see the fashion designer stir up more drama in season 3: “Now that he stopped being Pierre Cadault’s nemesis maybe he can be his ally, creating chaos for Emily. Also, I think Gregory needs a boyfriend — there are so many cute boys on the show! If someone that Emily or anyone else doesn’t want, is around, I feel like Gregory would be a great candidate to scoop them up.”

Even before the third season was picked up, costume designer Marylin Fitoussi revealed that she already has ideas for a potential wardrobe. “My dream for season 3 would be to recycle costumes from season 1,” she told Elle. “I don't know if we can do that, but I’m dreaming to bring some of Lily’s most iconic outfits to the recycling workshop and see what they can do and recut and make.”

When does Emily in Paris Season 3 come out?

Mark your calendars — you'll be able to ring in the holidays by cozying up with a mug of hot chocolate and the newest season of Emily in Paris, which hits Netflix on December 21, 2022. Although some Netflix shows release episodes on a weekly basis, it seems like all of the episodes of Emily in Paris S3 will be released in one go – so theoretically, you could binge-watch the entire season in just a few days.

Netflix held their annual TUDUM fan event on September 24, which gave us a glimpse into season 3 with a teaser trailer. In it, we see Emily go through a twenty-something’s rite of passage as she cuts her own bangs. Honestly, her new look is très chic, but everyone around her seems to think something’s wrong with her based on the sudden change.

Lily Collins and Ashley Park — who stars as Emily’s bestie, Mindy — confirmed back in June 2022 that filming for season 3 commenced. Merci beaucoup for the serotonin boost and bienvenue à Paris, ladies!

William Abadie, who plays Antoine Lambert, also dropped a bit of information to US Weekly about season 3. At the time, he hinted at a new locale. “I’m also foreseeing, with the arrival of Alfie and London, we maybe spend a little time over there.” Emily in London? We’re here for it.

Are there any teasers or trailers from season 3?

Oui, oui! The *official* S3 trailer was released on November 30, and let’s just say that this next chapter in Emily’s life as a Parisienne looks as equally complicated as the previous eras. When we last caught up with Em, she had to make a decision: accept a new job offer from her current boss at Savoir and the Gilbert Group, Madeline (Kate Walsh), or follow her mentor, Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), to start a new company. In this new trailer, we find out that Emily has not made up her mind. Instead, she is working at both jobs without either knowing — sacré bleu! Watch the newest trailer below.

Previously, on September 22, Netflix and Lily Collins unveiled another look at season 3, Emily and Alfie look cute and cozy in one shot, while she and Gabriel appear to share a tense exchange in another. Emily and Mindy continue to be the ultimate bestie duo, and these costumes! C’est incroyable, as always.

“First look at @emilyinparis Saison Trois!! Get ready for new looks, new locations, new love triangles… Merci France for being a home away from home and embracing us yet again. So proud of this cast and crew and cannot WAIT for you all to see what our girl Emily gets up to! Get ready for another wild ride…,” Lily penned on Instagram.

Who is returning to the cast?

Well, we can definitely expect Emily and all of her Parisian amis to come back, including her bestie Mindy (Ashley Park), Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), Julien (Samuel Arnold), Luc (Bruno Gouery), Camille (Camille Razat), and Gabriel (Lucas Bravo).

It’s also been confirmed that Lucien Laviscount, who plays Emily’s love interest Alfie, is a series regular for season 3, per Variety. Oh là là! We really hope this means Emily will hop on the Eurostar to visit him in London.

Are there any new cast members?

On October 18, Netflix announced that there will also be a couple new faces in the French capital. According to E! News, Paul Forman stars as Nicolas De Leon, a prince and young executive at his family’s business. While struggling to prove himself beyond his title, he unexpectedly sparks a connection with our leading lady, Emily. Are we sensing another love interest for Emily? Hmmmm.

Meanwhile, Melia Kreiling portrays Sofia Sideris, a Greek artist who arrives in the City of Love to showcase her portfolio to Cami. But along the way, she finds herself in an intense love affair.

What will Emily in Paris season 3 be about?

At the end of season 2, fans were left with a major cliffhanger. Emily’s career can take a turn depending on what she chooses to do. If she stays with Savoir and the Gilbert Group, her boss from Chicago, Madeline, will likely give her a promotion. However, after Sylvie, Luc, and Julien leave Savoir, Sylvie invites Emily to be part of a new team in Paris.

Lily Collins spoke to ELLE in December 2021 about Emily’s cliffhanger phone call, saying that she is “dying to know what that decision is, ’cause I don’t know.” The actress reveals that she hasn’t been told what Emily’s next work step will be, admitting that she is “genuinely [...] as confused as Emily was.” Lily says, “They’re like, ‘Okay. And then you’ve made your choice and you’re just gonna say it,’ and I’m like, ‘Okay, but what is it?’”

Lily also dished on some exciting new things to expect in the upcoming season of Emily in Paris. During an October 2022 interview with Entertainment Tonight, she said, “More love triangles, more drama, more laughs, more fashion, more locations, more France.” And yes, if you were wondering, Lily said that there is room for “a lot of cliffhangers.”

At the end of season 2, we also see some conflict in Emily’s love life. At the beginning of the season, her love triangle with Gabriel and Camille took a turn for the worse, but she found romance with a classmate from her French class, Alfie. As the season progresses, she finds herself stuck in the middle of another love triangle — this time between her, Gabriel, and Alfie. Emily is in a relationship with her British beau, who is headed back to the UK for his job, but she realizes she’s still in love with Gabriel. Unfortunately for Emily, Gabriel has gotten back with Camille and she’s left with no one. This is très compliqué.

For season 3, Lily Collins teased that "The last episode feels like five in one" in a November 2022 interview with Entertainment Tonight. Showrunner Darren Star also played up the season 3 finale, saying "There's a few [cliffhangers] and there's a big one."

In a December 2022 interview with Darren and the cast for Radio Andy on Sirius XM, he teased the potential of a Kim Cattrall guest appearance in the beloved Netflix series. ICYMI, Kim starred in his hit series, Sex and the City, and attended the season three premiere of Emily in Paris. "It would be amazing to have Kim on the show, and it's all about finding...the right role because she doesn't want to come on as Kim. She doesn't wanna come on as [her Sex and the City character] Samantha. We gotta find something, you know, special and worthy of her," he explained.

Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu also addressed the likelihood of her character, Sylvie, and Bruno Gouery's character, Luc, engaging in some romance in season three. "I don't know why ever since season one, I told Darren that something happened in between them two," Philippine explained to radio host Bevy Smith. Darren then added that "Maybe it's already happened."

We'll have to wait and see how things unravel this season!

Who will Emily end up with?

Showrunner Darren Star spoke to TV Line about the future of Emily’s love life. “She’s faced with a major decision. She has reasons to pick a number of doors at the end of Season 2, and our challenge is deciding which of those doors she’s going to choose and why.” Star says that Emily has “very strong feelings for Gabriel,” which makes staying in Paris to work for Sylvie a difficult decision as she’ll see Gabriel and Cami often. On the other hand, Emily’s actual boyfriend Alfie wants a long-distance relationship at the end of Season 2. “I love Alfie, personally. I wouldn’t write Alfie off, and I don’t think Emily should, either," says Star. “London’s not far from Paris.” 👀

So, did Emily lose her chance with Gabriel? Will she keep working with Sylvie and the ex-Savoir gang in Paris, or work her way up with Madeline? We’ll get to see how Emily’s journey unfolds in season 3.
