At the end of season three, Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence were faced with putting their longstanding feud behind them to defeat a common enemy. Will their truce last? Cobra Kai's writers and executive producers Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg confirmed that the answers will unfold during the massive season.

In a statement to People, the trio said, "Prepare yourselves, because season 4 is our biggest one yet." Dishing on what viewers can expect, they added, "With new alliances, new students, new conflicts, and the return of a legendary franchise character, it's anyone's game. Strap in for a wild ride on the way to the 51st Annual All Valley Tournament!"

Is there a trailer for Cobra Kai season 4?

This is *not* a drill. The official trailer for season 4 is here.

Daniel delivered a unifying message throughout the trailer, as he said, "Many of us used to be enemies, but rivalries don't need to last forever."

Back in August, Netflix dropped a teaser trailer for Cobra Kai season 4. Not gonna lie, I'm all about this montage of the cast prepping for the All Valley Karate Tournament.

The countdown is on.

Are there any major Karate Kid characters coming back?

Just when you thought that Miyagi-do and Eagle Fang only had Kreese to worry about, there's another familiar face that's coming to change this up over at Cobra Kai. Terry Silver, played by Thomas Ian Griffith, is back and things will definitely get more difficult for the other dojos. Thomas first played Terry back in Karate Kid III and was the original sensei and co-founder of the Cobra Kai dojos.

"Since the beginning of the series, we’ve been carefully orchestrating the right moment to unleash Cobra Kai dojo co-founder Terry Silver back into the universe," executive producers and writers Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg said in a press release. "That moment is now. We can’t wait for the whole world to experience Thomas Ian Griffith’s majestic return to the franchise."

At the end of season 3, Kreese ended up making a phone call to an old friend to come and help out. No doubt, Miyagi-do, and Eagle Fang will have to step it up now that Silver is back in town.

When will Cobra Kai season 4 start filming?

Netflix officially announced on February 26 that Cobra Kai started production on season 4. Not only that — but they also revealed the name of the first episode of the season which will be called, "Let's Begin".

Everyone's favorite Eagle Fang Dojo sensei, William Zabka, posted a couple of photos from the set confirming that filming had officially wrapped on May 2.

"After 3 1/2 months of production, I’m proud to say #CobraKaiSeason4 is officially wrapped! 'Ready???! LET’S BEGIN!!!'#sentfrommysmartphone," he wrote on Instagram.

Are there any new faces joining Cobra Kai season 4?

Vanessa Rubio and Peyton List, who played Carmen and Tori respectively, have officially bumped to series regulars in a long-awaited move for both characters. Meanwhile, two new characters are joining the cast thanks to the new additions of Dallas Dupree Young and Oona O’Brien. However, their characters are still being held under wraps, so we're going to have to wait for more details on what we can expect.

Is Cobra Kai season 4 happening?

Luckily for all of us, Cobra Kai was officially renewed before season three's big premiere. That means we'll be seeing the aftermath of the big Miyagi-do/Eagle Fang Dojo vs. Cobra Kai showdown that went down before the All Valley tournament.

What will Cobra Kai season 4 be about?

Season four will likely mostly focus on Miyagi-do/Eagle Fang's training as they get ready to take down Kreese's Cobra Kai once and for all. Unfortunately for them, Robby is on Kreese's side, so it will definitely be a tough match. Meanwhile, it's going to be a tough change for Daniel and Johnny as they try to co-teach together in their new shared dojo.

Meanwhile, we'll likely see more of Kreese's backstory, especially with that mysterious phone call he made at the end. Daniel has a brand new move up his sleeve, but will he teach it to his new students? And then there's Johnny. He just realized that he is able to move on from Ali after their big reunion. So will he take a chance with Carmen again? We'll have to wait to find out.

When will Cobra Kai season 4 be released?

We'll be seeing our favorite karate kids sooner than we thought. At their annual TUDUM fan event on September 25, Netflix revealed that we can expect season 4 of Cobra Kai at the tail-end of 2021. The upcoming season will hit the streaming service on December 31, 2021.
