Everything You Need to Know About the Cast of HBO Max’s ‘Irma Vep’
If you're a fan of "story within a story" TV shows, HBO Max's Irma Vep has your name on it. Alicia Vikander plays Mira, an actor who's a little bit disillusioned with the whole Hollywood machine. She takes a role in a remake of Les Vampires, an old silent movie, and travels to Paris for the part. But the production, and her personal, start to fall apart, and she finds herself in a real-life crime thriller that's a little too similar to the plot she's starring in. Irma Vep is a remake of the 1996 film of the same name, which starred Maggie Cheung. And in the show they are remaking an old movie, so there are, like, four levels of meta here.
