Everyone Who's Hosted 'SNL' Season 49

Saturday Night Live kicked off its 49th season on Oct. 13, 2023, five months after the WGA writers' strike cut short its 48th season in May. The premiere marked a partial return to normalcy for NBC, which has been airing the show—although not without other historic disruptions (see: the pandemic)—since 1975.

SNL alum Pete Davidson, who had been scheduled to make his Studio 8H comeback when the series abruptly came to a halt, headlined the highly-anticipated debut episode.

Every host of SNL Season 49 for 2023-2024

Oct. 13, 2023: Pete Davidson

Davidson left the series at the end of Season 47 in 2022, after nearly nine years on the show. He's since created and starred in the Peacock series Bupkis, which is produced by SNL boss Lorne Michaels, as well as the horror-comedy Bodies Bodies Bodies, among other projects.

Oct. 21, 2023: Bad Bunny

This week, the "Después de la Playa" singer, whose birth name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, will pull double duty as host and musical guest. He's graced Studio 8H twice before—once in 2020 for a cameo and again in 2021 to perform as musical guest (he also popped on for a couple of sketches, proving his host-worthy acting chops).

In addition to being a three-time Grammy winner, Bad Bunny has the distinct honor of being Kendall Jenner's boyfriend. A cameo for his supermodel girlfriend, perhaps?

Oct. 28, 2023: Nate Bargatze

Stand-up comedian Nate Bargatze is known for his clean and observational style of humor, so don't expect, say, an incest joke, in his opening monologue. But do expect plenty of laughs. He'll host alongside musical guest The Foo Fighters on the show's Halloween episode.
