Everyone on Twitter is standing by Meghan Markle after a heartbreaking video

In an upcoming ITV documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle expressed how the negative press she has received since marrying into the royal family has taken a toll on her mental health, especially now that her first child, Archie, has arrived. Now, supporters on Twitter are standing with Markle and talking about how heinously she’s been treated by the British tabloids in the past year.

“Any woman, especially when they’re pregnant, you’re really vulnerable, and so that was made really challenging,” Markle told ITV’s Tom Bradby in a clip from the documentary, which airs Sunday, October 20th. “And then when you have a newborn, you know, and especially as a woman, it’s a lot.”

When Bradby asked Markle if it was fair for him to assume that she isn’t okay, she responded, “Yes.”

At the beginning of the month, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle officially filed a lawsuit against a British tabloid that illegally published a private letter from Markle to her father, written before their May 2018 wedding.

Harry compared the tabloids’ treatment of his wife to that of his late mother, Princess Diana.

Harry wrote in an official statement, “I’ve seen what happens when someone I love is commoditized to the point that they are no longer treated or seen as a real person. I lost my mother and now I watch my wife falling victim to the same powerful forces.”

Markle’s supporters have come together on Twitter to stand with her as her battle with the media continues. Using the hashtag #WeLoveYouMeghan, the outpouring of love for the Duchess is now trending worldwide.

We hope Markle sees how much the world supports her and that she gets the mental health support she needs.
