Lindsay Lohan is officially back to acting, and fans couldn't be happier about it. The actor is starring as the lead in Netflix's new Christmas film, an "upcoming holiday rom-com, co-starring Chord Overstreet."

While we don't know very much about the project itself, the streaming service have given us an early glimpse at the 35-year-old in action. "She’s back! Here is your first look at Lindsay Lohan in her upcoming holiday rom-com, co-starring Chord Overstreet," they wrote, while Lindsay added, "Back at work and couldn’t be happier! Action!"

It's one of her first acting roles since playing Katerina West in Sick Note in 2018, while it's been almost 17 years since Mean Girls debuted. Fans are so happy to see her back on screen, and have been taking to Twitter to celebrate.

"I’m excited for the Lindsay Lohan cinematic universe to continue again," one wrote, while another put, "Yes yes yes 👏🏻 this is the treat we need." Someone else added, "YESSSSSSS OMG I CANT WAIT. So happy for you beautiful."

Other comments on her Instagram post read, "The queen is back 🥰" and "We are truly happy to have you back on your movie throne Queen!👑 Looking forward to watching this and all your future projects!"

In full, the description of the new film (which doesn't yet have a name or release date) on IMDB is: "A newly engaged hotel heiress gets into an accident and, suffering from amnesia, finds herself in the care of a handsome lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas."

Sadly the film isn't due until Christmas 2022, but still! Something to look forward to. Good to have you back, Lindsay.
