Everyone on the Internet Is Fighting Over Pineapple Pizza
It seems no food is safe from debate on the Internet anymore. It started a few weeks ago with the grocery story sugar cookie discussion, and now people are taking to Twitter to voice their opinions on pineapple-topped pizza.
Since the first stirrings of the debate on social media, people have been tweeting hilarious photos of slices of pizza resting on full pineapples or even of pizza growing in pineapple fields. Some people have even just been posting slices of pineapple pizza they are currently eating to get people upset.

So many Twitter users are voicing their love or hate for pineapples on pizza that there is now a #pineapplepizza hashtag. Then, the debate took an even bigger turn when two prominent political leaders got involved.
Iceland's president Guðni Th. Jóhannesson recently joked while giving a speech at a high school that he was "fundamentally opposed" to pineapple-topped pizza and had to clarify his statement. And then Canadian Prime Minster Justin Trudeau was asked where he stood on the debate and Tweeted the following:
@JonWiseman I have a pineapple. I have a pizza. And I stand behind this delicious Southwestern Ontario creation. #TeamPineapple @Canada

Can't we just leave pizza out of it it and all agree that pizza is amazing regardless of its toppings?!
