After news of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's engagement, the first place my mind went - other than a temporary feeling of Déjà vu - was to her ring. For those playing at home, JLo has been the owner of some breathtakingly beautiful engagement rings over the years. The artist's been proposed to six times by five partners and, to be honest, I'd also probably propose to her if I thought she'd say 'yes'.

While Jen's latest ring is believed to be an incredibly rare green diamond, with the colour carrying personal significance for the singer (more on that later), her other rings have also been works of art in their own right.

Here, we take look back through every one of Jennifer Lopez's stunning engagement rings, from 1997-2022.

First up is the elegant, marquise-cut diamond ring from Ojani Noa, given to JLo with the pair tied the knot in 1997.

The dainty design, reportedly worth "six figures" or $100,000 USD, was only briefly on the singer's digit with the pair later splitting in 1998.

2. Cris Judd

In 2001, Jen's former backup dancer Cris Judd proposed with an emerald-cut white diamond engagement ring, set in a pavé band.

The duo, who met on the set of her 'Love Don't Cost A Thing' music video, then divorced in 2002.

3. Ben Affleck

It's ya boi, Ben Affleck. The iconic 2000s couple first met on the set of Gigli and, in 2002, Ben proposed with a (now famous) 6.10 carat pink diamond, created by Harry Winston. The coloured stone popularised tinted diamonds, with the centre rock flanked by two white baguette gems and set in a platinum band.

The estimated cost? Over $1 million. The couple ended their engagement in 2004 and JLo reportedly gave the ring back to Ben.

4. Marc Anthony

Speaking of Harry Winston... JLo's next ring, from Marc Anthony, featured a whopping 8.5 carat blue diamond, with two baguette diamonds on each side and was estimated to be worth a cool $4 million.

Jen and Marc married in 2004 and had twins, Max and Emme, in 2008. The couple later announced their separation in 2011 and finalised their divorce in 2015.

5. Alex Rodriguez

Now here's an Instagram I remember. In 2019, Alex Rodriguez (AKA A-Rod) proposed to Jen during the couple's trip to the Bahamas after four years of dating.

The ring in question was a massive emerald-cut white diamond, believed to be in the range of 10-15 carats and valued at anywhere between $1-5 million. JLo and A-Rod subsequently split in early 2021.

6. Ben Affleck

Last but not least is her current engagement ring, the second coloured design from Ben Affleck. The piece itself is believed to feature an "exceptionally rare" 8.5 carat cushion cut green diamond, with a white diamond on either side and valued at between $5-7 million, per Bloomberg. Aside from looking incredible, the stone's unusual hue also hold personal significance for JLo.

"I always say the color green is my lucky color. Maybe you can remember a certain green dress," she wrote, via People. "I've realized there are many moments in my life where amazing things happened when I was wearing green."

JLo has since revealed the sweet story of how Ben proposed to her the second time around. In her newsletter, 'On The JLo', the star tells the story we've all been waiting to hear:

"Did you ever imagine your biggest dream could come true?" she began. "Saturday night while at my favorite place on earth (in the bubble bath), my beautiful love got on one knee and proposed.

"I was taken totally off guard and just looked in his eyes smiling and crying at the same time trying hard to get my head around the fact that after 20 years this was happening all over again, I was quite literally speechless and he said, 'Is that a yes?' I said YES of course that's a YES.

"I was smiling so big and tears were coming down my face, feeling so incredibly happy and whole," she wrote. "It was nothing fancy at all, but it was the most romantic thing I could've ever imagined... just a quiet Saturday night at home, two people promising to always be there for each other. Two very lucky people. Who got a second chance at true love."
