You didn't think Heidi Klum, the queen of Halloween, would let a global pandemic stop her from celebrating spooky season, did you? Of course not.
The supermodel, known for her ambitious costumes and annual Halloween bashes, found the perfect way to honor the holiday in 2020 and encourage people to stay home: Instead of a massive party, Klum filmed an actual horror movie with her kids. On October 31 she posted #HeidiHalloween2020 on Instagram, a five-and-a-half-minute comedy-horror flick in which Klum and her family, despairing that 2020 ruins everything, decide to make the most of Halloween with an at-home costume party.
Klum raids her toilet paper supply to wrap her kids up like mummies only to need that precious paper back when a bad sausage causes a bathroom mishap. Unfortunately, when the clock strikes midnight, her four kids transform into real zombies and chase her around the house. Klum's husband, Tom Kaulitz, even makes a cameo as an undead zombie, presumably hungry for braaaains. As part of her evasion, Klum disguises herself as a wall, a corkboard, and even rumpled sheets on her bed, all achieved through professional body painting. This is Heidi Klum, after all.
“I really wanted to keep the Halloween spirit alive by keeping up with our traditions celebrations,” Klum told People. "I love to entertain people and make them laugh or surprised or shocked or scared. I like to show the artistry of what these amazing people can do, and I love being the canvas for them to perform."
Mission definitely accomplished. So while you're stuck at home eating candy and stressing about the election, enjoy these looks from the video:
