EVENTS: Uptown Columbus to host concert, market and more

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — This weekend, locals will have their pick of the litter when it comes to figuring out what to do on a visit downtown. Uptown Columbus is hosting multiple events between Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6, including a concert, food truck festival and market.

The weekend of events will kick off Friday night as Uptown Columbus revives its free Friday Night Concert series for the spring. Local band Relative Sound will take to the stage on the 1200 block of Broadway at 6 p.m., opening for Mock of Ages – an Atlanta-based Def Leppard tribute band.

Mock of Ages is set to hit the stage around 8 p.m. and play until 10 p.m. The concert will be family-friendly and free to the community. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs but asked not to come with coolers. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase from vendors at the event for those over 21.
