I was lucky enough to have the chance to create some of these lasting memories at this year's Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. On Location serviced about 35% of the 61,629 attendees at this year's game across the many packages it offered. (Reps for the company estimate they'll service around 400,00 people at the Paris Olympics.) One of my favorite parts was being on the field after the game, throwing confetti in the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs' red and yellow, surrounded by the team and their loved ones; it was an experience I never even dreamed was possible. For the first time, an opening ceremony will not be held in a stadium, instead wowing the world with a show right on the river Seine. Athletes from nations across the globe will sail past iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and under bridges which will be turned into celebrity-filled luxury suites. Guests of On Location will be front and center to witness and join in the spectacle of the games in a way that’s never been done before.

Although I've long been an avid Olympic spectator from my couch, the thought of attending in person never occurred to me. Even in host cities that felt more accessible to me, like Vancouver or London, the games still felt like something I was only meant to watch on TV. On Location is changing the way fans experience the Olympics and other major sporting events. “The only question someone needs to ask themselves is, 'Do I want to go to the Olympics?' Attendees can build their own experiences starting with determining the amount of days they wish to spend in Paris, their preferred accommodations, and ground transport. They'll have access to hard-to-come-by restaurant reservations and dedicated staff to manage their entire trip. Often, traveling for a major event comes with major stress, but this level of hospitality ensures that stress fades into the background so they can soak in every moment.

Almost all sports in Paris will have their own unique experience offerings. Similar to the Super Bowl's “On the Fifty” package, the Olympics' top package is “On the Finish Line,” putting premier guests on the ground of the Track and Field competition.

“The Olympics are two Super Bowls, two World Cups, two basketball championships and 500 other world championship events," says Whiston. "In past games, guests haven't had access to a more involved fan experience. If you wanted to attend, you bought a ticket and went. A premiere ticket might have allotted you better seats or a little something extra, but nothing has been done before of this magnitude with this much fan involvement and consideration."
