Even Fitness Star Chontel Duncan Deals With Post-Baby Struggles

It's no easy feat bouncing back to your pre-baby body - not even for super fit new moms. Take fitness model and Instagram star Chontel Duncan, who's probably best known for maintaining her six-pack during pregnancy. Four months after having her son, Jeremiah, she posted an Instagram detailing her insecurities while trying on a bikini.

Even though her body still looks amazing, Chontel confesses that it feels "different." "The boobs weren't as perky & my toosh not so round and full," she admitted.

She posted the bikini picture to Snapchat and admitted to feeling disappointed in herself and her body until a friend commented on how great she looked. Luckily, that put things in perspective for Chontel,

"Growing a human for almost 40 weeks, creating life, having major abdominal surgery, feeding my son for now 4mths & all of those sessions in the gym it's been through," she said about her body when sharing the photo on Instagram. "Sometimes even fitness folks get caught up in silly expectation bullshit & let the pressure get to them."

It's comforting to know that even fit moms get discouraged about their post-baby bod, and kudos to Chontel for keeping it real.

The Instagram star definitely doesn't shy away from the messy side of being a mom - right before her bikini post, she shared a hilarious shot capturing "the joys of parenthood" as her son's poop runs down her arm.

Take it from Chontel: Life isn't perfect, and neither are you. And that's OK!
