Cap & Cork now open in Henderson

The Cap & Cork restaurant is now open in Henderson. Described as a place for craft beer, cocktails and experimental bar food, the opening day menu held items such as buffalo chicken fries, Caesar salad, steaks, burgers, and braised pork tacos with slaw. We'll report on the full menu soon. The Cap & Cork also offers a cigar lounge.

Casa Fiesta 2 Mexican Restaurant has opened a second location on Diamond Avenue in the former Barbecue Barn building. The first location opened in 2020 on North Green River Road. On the menu are all your Tex-Mex restaurant favorites from fajitas to chimichangas and a variety of nachos, as well as some authentic Mexican dishes such as Huevos Rancheros and street tacos.

Cosmos Bistro to open under new chef

Cosmos Bistro, the Downtown restaurant inside the McCurdy building, will soon be re-opening under the leadership of Chef Tyler Plagmann. The menu will be fine dining. Dishes pictured on Cosmos' social media pages include duck confit with celery root puree and burnt onion demi glace; Chilean sea bass with butter poached carrots, English peas, mint and pea puree, and forbidden rice; mushroom and maple ricotta ravioli with guanciale, bagna cauda sauce and asiago cheese; and others. Don Juan Mexican Grill now open in Newburgh

Don Juan Authentic Mexican Grill is now open at the corner of IN 66 and IN 261 in Newburgh. The restaurant specializes in seasoned Mexican grilled chicken. Also on the menu are fried chicken and specialties such as flautas, enchiladas, street tacos and quesabirria tacos, nachos, tortas and more. On the weekend enjoy barbacoa and homemade tamales.

Henderson Tri-Fest

The Henderson Breakfast Lions' Tri-Fest will happen from Friday, April 19, through Sunday, April 21 on Main Street between Washington and Second Streets. Over 70 booths and food trucks will be vending festival foods from burgers and funnel cakes to barbecue and banana pudding. When you're not eating, enjoy live music.

Brunch at Mo's House

Mo's House Cocktail Bar will offer an all-you-can-eat brunch on Sunday, April 21, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The cost is $18. Music will be provided by DJ Ellipsis.

Patchwork Central Pancakes

Patchwork Central will host its annual Pancake Extravaganza on Saturday, April 20, from 7:30-11:30 a.m. There will be classic, blueberry and gluten-free pancakes. The cost is $8 for adults and $6 for children. All proceeds benefit Patchwork Central's arts and enrichment programming.

Schmuck Daddy's food truck hits the road

Schmuck Daddy’s food truck is now on the road with a menu of burgers, loaded hot dogs, and snacks. Watch the Facebook page for more information on dates and times of service.

Wine Vault Walk About at Venue 812

The Wine Vault and Venue 812 Will host the Wine Vault Walk About at Venue 812 on Wednesday, April 24, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Heavy hors d'oeuvres from Venue 812 will be offered alongside over 50 wines and beers for tasting. Tickets are $40 per person.
