Evan Peters and Taissa Farmiga Will Return as Tate and Violet in "American Horror Story: Apocalypse"

The new season premieres on Sept. 12.

Remember when we had all sorts of feelings watching Evan Peters and Taissa Farmiga play out the most twisted love story in American Horror Story: Murder House? Well, we’re going to have to do it all over again because Ryan Murphy revealed their characters Tate and Violet will be back in American Horror Story: Apocalypse.

While we've known for a while that Evan and Taissa were returning for Apocalypse, it was unknown whether they would be playing both Kyle and Zoe from Coven as well as Tate and Violet from Murder House. However, this week the show’s creator shared a behind-the-scenes picture on Instagram of Evan and Taissa sitting together on the set of Murder House with the caption, “Tate and Violet. Together forever? AHS:Apocalypse, FX Sept 12.”

Their relationship status is unknown going into Apocalypse, because Violet discovered during Murder House that Tate sexually assaulted Violet’s mother Vivien in order to get her pregnant with his demon spawn Michael, who will likely play a large role in the upcoming season. When Apocalypse picks up, however, Violet and Tate will have been living as ghosts trapped in the house for several years — and Tate did say he would wait forever for Violet to forgive him.

There's a whole slew of actors returning for Apocalypse, which Ryan has said will be an epic crossover between Coven and Murder House. Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott, who played Violet’s parents are returning. Dylan recently shared a picture of his and Evan's characters holding onto the gate of the memorable house. Tate doesn’t look happy, which makes sense given how Murder House ended.

This Murder House and Apocalypse crossover will also include [Coven][https://www.teenvogue.com/story/american-horror-story-apocalypse-reunited-coven-sarah-paulson-emma-roberts) actors Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Emma Roberts, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Cody Fern, Frances Conroy, and Stevie Nicks.

The new season returns September 12, with Apocalypse reportedly taking place 18 months in the future.
