I have a love-hate relationship with dry shampoo. On the one hand, I love that when I use it, I don’t have to blow dry my hair post-shower — my hairstylist says it’s best not to wash it every day anyways. But then some dry shampoos make my hair feel even dirtier, itchy and just overly thick. I can’t stand it. That’s why, for the last five years, I keep going back to the eva NYC Freshen Up Invisible Dry Shampoo.

The eva NYC Freshen Up Invisible Dry Shampoo is hands-down my favorite dry shampoo. It actually makes my hair feel cleaner, it smells amazing, and as it says in its name, it’s practically “invisible.” Using it feels like you didn’t even use dry shampoo.
Some of its key ingredients include argan oil and plant protein to hydrate and smooth hair (even damaged hair). It also contains rice starch, which is a light powder that absorbs dirt and oil. As for the fragrance, it has notes of freesia, plum, white flowers, warm amber, bourbon vanilla and white musk. It’s also certified vegan, cruelty-free and free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten and other potentially harmful ingredients.
I first discovered the dry shampoo in a locker room at a fitness studio in NYC back in 2018. I’d give myself a few sprays after a sweaty cardio workout before heading out, and I always noticed how good it was. Eventually, I started buying it for myself, stocking up whenever it went on sale and keeping mini sizes in my handbags. Yes, it really is that good.
You can get it at Ulta, Anthropologie, Target, eva NYC’s own website and more places for $13. However, Ulta shoppers especially love it — more than 3,200 shoppers give it 5 out of 5 stars.
