Ken only has eyes for Barbie, and in real life Ryan Gosling is all about his wife, Eva Mendes. After Gosling’s reaction to his song “I’m Just Ken” winning a Critics Choice Award for best song went viral, Mendes took to Instagram to put her seal of approval on the GIF and express her love for her man.

Posting the viral reaction, Mendes wrote simply, “I LOVE HIM!!!!” Um, same, Eva. While writer-director Greta Gerwig is clearly ecstatic and the cast of Abbott Elementary applauds behind him, Gosling is visibly confused, maybe because another Barbie song, Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?” is the season’s frontrunner, having already earned a Golden Globe.

But it’s not like Gosling and “I’m Just Ken” composer Mark Ronson haven’t been campaigning! They released a “Kristmas” version of the song, which Eva Mendes also approved of, writing on Insta, “So grateful to @iammarkronson for getting my man to make more music. Dead Man’s Bones is my favorite band ….when I first heard Ryan sing, MY HEART EXPLODED. More Ryan & Ronson musica por favor! ♥️”

And after leaving the Globes empty-handed, Ronson posted a picture of his torn-up acceptance speech in the trash. Should have just kept it in his pocket for the Critics Choice Awards, man.

Speaking of acceptance speeches, Gosling had time to prepare his for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival (A+ primo pre-Oscars glad-handing event), where he was honored with the Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film. And of course, he used the opportunity to shout out his lady love. Reflecting on his career accomplishments, Gosling said, “Most importantly, I got to meet the girl of my dreams, Eva Mendes, and have two dream children,” per People. The pair met on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines, a pretty good movie people should watch! “I dreamed of one day making movies, and now, movies have made my life a dream,” Gosling added. Too sweet; now I have cavities.
