The actress is embracing a brighter look for 2023.

Eva Mendes is starting 2023 with new hair and a welcoming, "grateful" attitude.

The actress and mother-of-two posted on Instagram, sharing a major hair transformation and a message about the holidays and caring for one another.

Along with the clip showing off her fiery new hair, she shared a heartwarming message with followers.

"Whatever you celebrate or don’t celebrate, if you’re with friends and family or flying solo , I’m sending you loads of love during this time," she wrote in the caption, adding, "I know how hard it can be for some. Don’t let Instagram trick you -we’re all dealing with our own sh*t. Some more extreme, of course, but we’re all in this madness together. ♥️."

She continued, "For me personally, I don’t care much for acting 'merry' or 'happy' -as long as I stay grateful I’ll let myself feel all the feels that come up. I won’t torture others with them but I won’t hide them either. ♥️."

Finally, she addressed the new hair at the end, simply writing, "Oh, I went red." According to the post, hairstylist Richi Grisillo is responsible for the celeb's beautiful new hair.

Many people wished the 48-year-old happy holidays and agreed with her message, with actress Shay Mitchell writing, "Everything you said. 🙌🏼."

Mendes treated her followers to another look at her new hair with a close-up photo of herself posted a couple of days later that shows off the bright, warm color complimenting her beautiful skin tone.

Mendes is married to actor Ryan Gosling, and the two tend to keep most of their life private, so it's a treat to see anything new from either of them.

While Gosling still acts, starring opposite Margot Robbie in the highly-anticipated Barbie movie releasing in 2023, Mendes retired from acting years ago.

She recently spoke a bit more about the decision, saying, "I don’t really miss it...I got tired fighting for the good roles. There just was a point where I thought, ‘I’m going to create my own opportunities and become a producer on things and create my own material,’ but it just didn’t feel worth it to me.”
