But this isn’t the kind of pantsuit found in Hillary Clinton’s closet. Instead, it’s cleavage-baring and revealing with interesting arm slits.
The Elizabetta Franchi tailored ensemble featured a little Miami spice thanks to a low-cut top and an open zipper style all the way down to the belly-button. The structured look went all the way down to Longoria’s flared trousers that were incredibly close to dragging along the red carpet. The finishing touch? The actress basically glowed from within thanks to either a shimmery body moisturizer or the ideal spray tan.
Longoria has dressed up the red carpet with a pantsuit in the past. As recently as February, she rocked a sparkly golden tuxedo blazer and matching slacks to a Rachel Zoe fashion show. She’s also been known to wear an oversized tuxedo jacket without the typical side of pants. As she told Yahoo Style, one of her favorite slogans is “from work to wine.” Her personal style embodies the concept perfectly. Business appropriate silhouette? Check. Sexy slits? Double check.
As a fellow petite woman who loves a dose of glam, I respect Longoria for figuring out what works for her body and then upping the game — with sparkles, a zipper, or best of all, no pants.
