Sydney Sweeney Seen Making Out with Glen Powell in Australia For Their New Rom-Com

Sydney Sweeney is booked 👏 and 👏 busy👏 this year. The 25-year-old actress is being introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Madame Web, as well as starring in and producing multiple movies. Last year, we found out that she'll be starring in and producing a psychological horror flick called Immaculate, which is slated to begin filming in January 2023. Her latest feat, though, is a rom-com alongside Set It Up star Glen Powell.

Per a report by Deadline, the R-rated flick has been acquired by Sony Pictures and will be directed by Will Gluck, who is known for his directorial work on the teen movie Easy A and romantic comedy Friends With Benefits. Sydney will be executive producing the film through her company, Fifty-Fifty Films, while Gluck, Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, Natalie Sellers, and Alyssa Altman are also credited as producers for the untitled movie.

What is the movie going to be about?

Details about the plot are being kept under wraps for now. Deadline reports that its script is being written by Ilana Wolpert, who has credits on Disney+'s teen musical comedy series, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. "The rom com is alive and well!!! truly cannot believe this is real!!!!!" she wrote, celebrating the film's announcement on Instagram.

Sydney also shared the news on IG, where she shared screenshots of the Deadline report and wrote "See you soon mate ;)."

Has filming begun yet?

Yes! The two actors were spotted filming in Sydney, Australia on March 27, and it looks like the rom-com is going to be as action-packed as it is romantic. Glen was seen leaping out of a helicopter in full black-tie attire (yes, bow-tie and all) and Sydney was photographed in a flowing pink gown and heels by the water at the Sydney Opera House. The two actors seemingly rendezvous in the film before sharing a sweet kiss and a playful piggyback ride.

Previously, on March 6, the two actors were spotted filming on the beach. Sydney wore a white bikini with her hair tied up into a casual updo, while Glen went shirtless and rocked tan swim trunks. Alexandra Shipp, Hadley Robinson, and another unidentified actress were also present for filming.
