Ethereal France Destination Wedding at Chateau de Varennes
I do a fair share of stalking my wedding vendor crushes on Insta and two of them, Sinclair & Moore and O'Malley Photographers just so happen to have made this dreamy destination soiree come to life. I'm also quite certain that I watched all the behind the scenes IG stories with @sinclairandmoore of this exact wedding while it was happening. And friends, ohhh, is it charming beyond words. The florals, the "kissing swing", the dress, the chateau, the ceremony, the getaway car... all. of. the. above.
From O'Malley Photographers... Felicia and Hadley met in Stockholm but it wasn't long before Felicia left everything she knew and followed her heart to NYC to be with Hadley. Once engaged, with family and friends spread across the globe (she is Swedish and he is Chinese), it was obvious they should hold their celebration in the beautiful rolling hills of France, a gorgeous central spot for everyone to come together and celebrate.The couple rented out Chateau de Varennes for the week and enjoyed the tranquility of the private chateau, as well as the sun and wine in the surrounding area. The overall theme of their wedding was romantic-ethereal and this feel was achieved perfectly with elements such as custom illustration and calligraphy by Sally Balt of la Happy and lush, seasonal botanicals by Sinclair & Moore. From the floral-adorned getting ready suite to the lush floral ceremony backdrop and "kissing swing", everything was thoughtfully planned out to create a gorgeous, intimate and celebratory atmosphere for all of the guests. Felicia and Hadley were incredible hosts, throwing various wine tastings and parties throughout the week including a welcome dinner and farewell brunch to see off all their guests the day after the wedding.One sweet moment on the wedding day was when Felicia's father said "their love was in the making for centuries" and everyone present knew this was true of the couple. This wedding truly was a joyous celebration of two individuals and families coming together for the rest of time.
