When you’re a globe-trotting, world-famous actress and musician, finding balance can be tricky. For Oscar-nominated Hailee Steinfeld, wellness is a priority. “For me, it’s about staying hydrated and working out,” she says. “I feel like working out keeps me sane. Whether it’s for 15 minutes or an hour, I can never describe how amazing I feel afterwards, having challenged myself mentally and physically and having made the conscious effort to do something for myself.”
As an ambassador for Core Hydration, Hailee says she was drawn to the company because she couldn’t get enough of the electrolyte- and mineral-packed water. “I love when something comes about and feels so genuine and so aligned, and that has been the case since day one with Core,” Steinfeld says. “This partnership has been an incredible reminder that wellness is different for everyone — it’s whatever works for you. Case in point: Steinfeld counts circuit training, Pilates and dance among her favorite ways to release endorphins. “Even if it means throwing on some music and dancing around while you clean the kitchen, it sets the tone for the day.”
While most of her schedule is jam-packed with work engagements, Steinfeld does manage to carve out time for chilling out too. “When I come home after a long day, I love to just decompress, put the phone away, put some music on and have my little dogs with me. They are instant stress relievers,” she says. “I just think less is more when it comes to winding down. Sometimes, I like sitting in silence and reflecting on the day or just giving myself a chance to get my thoughts in order.”

“I love doing my own makeup [and] typically opt for a natural and super-simple look,” Steinfeld says. “Recently I’ve been loving all things Makeup by Mario, especially his SurrealSkin Foundation. It gives you the most beautiful coverage that looks like it’s just enhancing your skin and complexion.” Steinfeld, who considers the foundation a makeup-bag essential, also likes that it’s “super breathable and perfect for long days.”

Vegan and smudge-proof, Tower 28’s mascara is always in Steinfeld's makeup bag. “I’m obsessed with this mascara — when you find a good one, you gotta run with it,” she says. “I love that it’s buildable. You can do a simple light application, or you can achieve the look of false lashes.”
