Full, fluttery lashes can transform your look in just seconds. So it comes as no surprise that Amazon shoppers are buying up mascara — but there’s one $5 find that’s trending among the rest.

Owning one of the top spots in the beauty category of Amazon’s Movers and Shakers is Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara ($5). In the last 24 hours, the rising favorite has gone up in sales by more than 100 percent!

“I have bought so many different brands of mascara over the years and to date, essence Lash Princess is my favorite. And for the price, it cannot be beaten,” wrote a reviewer, who gave it five stars.

So, what makes this mascara a step above the rest?

For starters, it’s a reasonable $5 and available on Amazon Prime, which is always a bonus. But more importantly, the formula is ophthalmologist-tested and delivers everything you could want from a mascara.

The conic shaped-brush at the end of the wand seamlessly glides through each lash to coat it from root to tip. And there’s a reason for its “False Lash Effect” moniker: Just one coat is all it takes to achieve long, voluminous, defined and clump-free lashes.

One happy buyer raved it was better than high-end mascaras: “My go to mascara is Dior or Mary Kay. This beats them both hands down when comparing volume and length. This is my new go to!”

The glowing “best mascara ever” reviews didn’t stop there either.

As one shopper pointed out, it’s a great product for someone with straight or sparse lashes, too. I have thin, sparse, straight lashes. And even though it’s not waterproof, don’t expect it to budge or smudge in the midst of summer’s heat, as one reviewer noted. “Easy to apply and the mascara makes your lashes look stunning and long. Holds up very well, too. In fact even in a humid climate you'll still look awesome after a long day. No need to reapply every few hours. I also very much like that it was not tested on animals. I have sensitive eyes and this mascara doesn't bother me at all.”
