Shaka Hislop is giving fans an update on his health after a recent on-air scare.

The ESPN analyst and former pro soccer player confirmed he's moving forward to "seek out the best medical opinion I can get and listen to what my doctors have to say."

On Sunday, July 23, during pre-game coverage of a match between Real Madrid and AC Milan at the Rose Bowl, Hislop collapsed in the middle of chatting with his cohost Dan Thomas.

Addressing the situation, the 54-year-old shared a brief video message via social media, saying, “Well, that was awkward. What a 24 hours this has been. Listen, every so often life gives you a moment to pause, and this was mine.”

He also took the time to thank his family, friends, and colleagues who reached out following the incident. Continuing to show gratitude toward all involved parties, he also thanked Thomas, his “ESPN family,” the camera operators, and the medical staff at the Rose Bowl.

“I know now that even when we argue and disagree I have the fullest support of each and every one of you,” he confirmed, before signing off, “I’m looking forward to getting back to doing what I enjoy doing most. See you in a bit.”

In the caption of the July 25 Instagram upload, Hislop offered heartfelt condolences after learning of a fellow sports player's death, as well as drove home his message of deep thankfulness.

“A few hours after recording this message I learned of the passing of Trevor Francis and Chris Bart Williams, a player I knew, played against, and coached with at Quinnipiac," he offered, while providing insight with: "When life gives you reason to pause, take it, be grateful for it. I’ve hated the experience of being this spoken about. But I have never been more appreciative for the collective support. Thank you, every single one of you. I am grateful.”

We're sending Hislop well wishes on his journey to achieving optimal health!
