The hustle never stops for Erin and Ben Napier. In between filming Home Town’s fifth season, the couple stopped by the TODAY show last week to show off their stylish kitchen renovation and announce their biggest project yet: renovating the entire town of Wetumpka, Alabama.

Busy bees indeed! But before these charming creatives achieved Home Town fame, they were just two dreamers living in Laurel, Mississippi. Ben was a woodworker and furniture designer, while Erin had a knack for flipping homes and creating cozy, warm, and welcoming interiors. They both loved old homes, their rural small community, and helping others.

Back in 2014, HGTV wanted to produce a show that would celebrate small-town living. They had heard about the Napiers' restoration work and wanted to learn more about their story and town of 18,000. Ben and Erin were tapped to make a video for the network which, naturally, blew the network away and landed the couple their own show.

The short video was shown for the first time ever during the exclusive Home Town: Small Town Salute special which aired on July 2. If you missed the special, don't worry, we've got the entire wholesome clip down below. It starts off with present day Erin and Ben and then cuts to their incredibly heartwarming casting video.

"Every house has a history, it has a story," a younger Ben Napier says, as his charming wife, Erin, finishes his thought: "And we’re there to make other people appreciate that and see that the way we do." She compares the town to "a pretty girl that doesn’t know she’s pretty."

Throughout the video, the couple expresses their love for Laurel, but more importantly, their passion to do good and make the town better for everyone. Because as Ben notes, this is where he and Erin want to start a family. This is their home.

If you're in need of some wholesome content, this video sure delivers. There's no doubt that HGTV picked the right folks for the show.
