What is A Scottish Love Scheme about?

Lily (Erica Durance) is ready to accompany her mother Cait (Jo Cameron Brown) on their annual trip to where Cait grew up in Scotland. This year, the two are going earlier than usual, which Lily thinks is her mother’s way of taking her mind off recent love woes. The trip starts off with a wonderful reunion between Cait and her childhood best friend Mairi (Juliet Cadzow). Lily also has a reunion with Mairi’s son Logan (Jordan Young), whom she has known since she was young. Upon seeing Lily and Logan laughing together, Cait and Mairi hatch a matchmaking scheme to get these two to spend more time together. As Lily and Logan start to hang out, romantic feelings form between them. But when Cait feels faint, Lily learns her mom has cancer —a diagnosis she was hiding until after the trip. Together with Logan, Lily puts together a heartfelt scavenger hunt for her mother and vows they will fight this together.
